Most likely wont see this configuration and size as a semi auto. My theory is with the short barrel and limited tank size, a semi auto would expend some of the air pressure to cycle the action and reduce the optimal velocity of your pellets/slugs as well as lowering your shot count considerably. It would not be efficient. This current config is pretty close to perfection IMHO.
semi-auto mags are very difficult to load in the HP SS .30 cal., and this would not be any different. I have both and I much prefer the .357 bolt action.

WHY? I have the HP SS in semi-auto in .30 cal. I also have this Max in .357. While you are stumbling to reload your semi-auto, I will have fired thru 3 mags of the bolt action. the semis' are very difficult to load. especially when you are under pressure. it's nearly impossible. few can do it in under 1 minute, and a 1 minute reload only gets you killed.

Why is the receiver of the AEA Max series designed without a rear notch that would allow the bolt to lock in the rearward position so that magazines could be easily inserted and removed with a one-hand procedure instead of the awkward two-hand procedure currently required to manually hold the bolt back so that the bolt probe is clear of the magazine slot ? Is it feasible to modify the receiver to create a rear notch to hold the bolt open, similar to the front notch that locks the bolt closed ?

Take big game with a Back Pack Pistol I ended up fixing the AEA safety by hitting it with a plastic part of an adjustable wrench oiling it up real good now there’s a nice click and it’s solid might’ve froze up through the shipping it was cold all week to the day I got the air gun nice 35 Definitely make that first shot count for pests or hunting Take Care

I'm waiting for AEA to produce a model that's regulated, and comes with a threaded end cap for adding a suppressor. It would then be a stealthy hunter...👍😺

I fell in love with this company when I seen it but on all the websites that sell it they pretty much say once you buy it it's out of our hands and it's in your hands and I'm not that familiar with these guns but at the price point it's a steal if I did just sucks they have no warranty because I love the design I think these look better than the FX and there's one that weighs like 2 pounds and 8 oz that's the 1 I wanted and I won't be ordering it I had it in my cart almost paid for and then I've seen that pretty much no warranty as is so and It's a lot of the people only want PayPal meaning that if you get screwed over they want it as friends and family probably are however they do it to where you can't get your money back so I'll have the day dream you're lucky dude

AEA has rifles with longer barrels, but this model is a Pistol with a folding stock. It still makes around 150-120 ft/lbs energy for 10shots, at 4500psi fill pressure. It's truly a backpack gun, that'll kill a hog at close range. I want to see a regulated version, with threaded end cap for a suppressor. DonnyFL has those end caps and suppressors...👍😺
Aea Very badly made after you buy it you have to wait to get it and then you have to send it right back in to get fixed....I will not buy aea until they get some quality control

.22 lr hv power, .22 mag out of a handgun, perhaps.
.22 mag out of a 16” barrel is more similar to the Big Bore 9mm Challenger.
