Until I saw this I had completely forgotten that I actually went to a concert of his in the Portsmouth Guildhall (UK) not long after I started working in 1962. It then must have been about when this was recorded. A magical evening as I recall. One piece he played was by a composer named Dodgson (English I think) but I have never heard it since. Thanks for the long forgotten memory.
That's absolute non sense. You picked to comment that under one of segovia's worst interpretations. Just listen to 2:12, he couldn't even keep up with the tempo. He is pretty old already in this video, even a first year music student can do a better job.
beautifully played but can someone direct me to a no nails player using gut to play this piece on a replica period guitar or an actual period guitar ? no nails please it alters the sound so much
