- In this video, we talk about the incredible news regarding Star Wars Battlefront. Battlefront and Battlefront 2 are back and we are finally going to have a new Star Wars Multiplayer Game experience. Could this be a stepping stone to the announcement of a new Battlefront game, potentially a Battlefront 3? We break it all down.

I imagine it'll be dependant on what the first person shooter star wars game is respawn is working on. Not so sure how battlefront 3 would do if this first person game is a spiritual successor to it

The fact that they stated the OG Battlefront games are "favorites" tells you so much. Also, remember a few years ago EA said people aren't interested in single-player games? No, people are interested in both single & multi-player, as long as they're quality.
Simple. Make good games. Open and shut.

I remember when EA/Dixe specifically said that the reboot would not be starwars battlefield. Yet thats exactly what they made. A cheap creation using the original name as free hype fuel.
Basically nothing remained of what made the old games great.
And not stuffed with mtx or battle passes. This will be massive when it releases, just hope they have enough servers ready.
Battelfront EA was great, was a MP game.
Same as titanfall.
The speederbike thing was great top notch, think the survival was very fun.
Battelfront EA 2 was fantastic, except for the peederbike.
People need to stop haring because EA made them fantastic.

Might be the catalyst needed to facilitate a Battlefront 3, especially if the sales are off the charts accumulating substantial revenue. Open your eyes Disney stop turning a blind eye to lucrative Star Wars multiplayer games, and just get the ball rolling capitalizing off this enthusiasm
@@wwolverineejust repurpose the PSP duology's campaigns as a Battlefront3; they repurposed the intended Battlefront3 campaign and gameplay for Elite Squadron.
I highly doubt they will make another battlefront .
Anyone know if u can play as hero’s in 32v32? And will there be the mode where u go onto other peoples ships and blow there ship up???????
I hope they finally wake up and see that we’re still interested.
2 things to note that weren’t talked about
1. XL mode, which was a mode that allowed hundreds of bots to fight on the larger maps, is coming to all platforms, after being PC exclusive
2. The game is on sale for around $30 until the launch date.
Is the first one limited to Battlefront1? Or can we mix it up in 256 vs 256 scale massive war sequences in Battlefront2?
The PC version honestly doesn't offer anything new except for some maps and 2 heroes that you could get with mods.
Hopefully they see the positivity and listen to us and make a battlefront 3 or revive battlefront 2

@@lostvayne104 better graphics sure but the fact that there's no galactic conquest mode is an unforgivable sin. That and the story mode was mid at best even compared to Battlefront 2 OG. I prefered Battlefront 2017 when it had capital supremacy. That was the most fun game mode they had and they removed it.
The community has been in an uproar about battlefront 3 lately. I think that’s why they announced this

As soon as I saw this I was like “I need this!” Playing this when I was younger was the best ,now there back!

The online support alone is worth $60 for me. The first 2 weeks is going to be so nostalgic.
Like many of you, Im sure, BF2 was my introduction to online play on the ps2, 13 year old me couldn't get enough. Now, as a 30 year old man, I can experience the chaos again with my own son watching. Almost doesn't feel real.
I've played those classic Battlefronts hundreds of times over. This is definitely a cash grab for $35. But regardless, complete multiplayer support for those classics might revive this hype for Star Wars games

Everyone NEEDS to buy this. Ill be buying for my PC and my xbox. With huge sales and support, common sense says they'll produce Battlefront III
My Childhood Star Wars Games Coming back after all these Years Is just Heartwarming
im hoping their "testing the waters" to see what star wars fans really want, its a cheap easy thing for them to do to see if star wars fans really want more battlefront games so hopefully because this game will obviously be HUGE maybe star wars will see that we want a fresh battlefront. this could be the start of many good things to come!
I still think this is a litmus test to see how much interest is still in the battlefront series.

It is what I've wanted for actual years. I've still been playing the originals but it is buggy on modern Windows so this will be a welcome upgrade, I'd gladly pay for that alone (and better servers)
As a single player exclusive gamer... these games are incredible. if you want multiplayer, they're great. The perfect Battlefront games are ones that have a ton to do for both groups of gamers. The originals do that perfectly. Especially 2. Glad to see these getting renewed love, though I'll likely stick to my heavily modded original version on GOG.
Unless they add the restored maps to Galactic Conquest. Then I'm in haha.

This is a step in the right direction. There’s no developer currently working on a battlefront 3 BUT maybe when studios see how successful this will be they’ll be intrigued. Thats what I’m hoping happens within the next few years. They touched up the graphics a bit with this remaster but I think since the game came out in 2005 theres not that much they can do. I could care less about the graphics tbh but Imagine a Battlefront game with the game modes/gameplay of BF2 (2005) and the graphics of BF2 (2017) 😭 maybe one day

this kind of remind me of the halo master chief collection concept with their own twist, I wonder how this will be executed. I'm still excited for OG star wars battlefront 2 coming back to the public eye.

The amount of folks who hate on earth BF2 is ridiculous
The game now is the best OL Star Wars game out there. Yes issues at launch but they were reversed and the game flourished lots of modes upgraded light saber dope vehicle and controls. Only EA is the trigger than ppl hate. Log in today servers always full of ppl playing the game and havyfun in Star Wars setting with modern ish graphics and levels etc

When a company does something better than EA
I don't think it's hard for other companies to trump EA in NOT screwing their players over.
Not all companies of course, but EA has been one of the worst for a long time.

256 vs 256 bare minimum, with both ground vehicles and starfighters.
That's what I'm hoping for, but I'm at least expecting 16 vs 16, maybe 32 vs 32 with vehicles

One of the reasons battlefront is so popular is because you could play massive battles both on and offline and just have casual fun.
If they plan on making a 3rd game I hope they focus first on the single player because I don’t want it to be like EA’s Battlefront where it became a generic fps shooter. They can still have multiplayer but I think it should be secondary.
Nah, I play battlefront for the multiplayer. What they should do is greatly improve upon galactic conquest, the physics, and Ai so that the galactic conquest behaves like an infinitely replayable campaign. Have the AI’s generate their own personalities and have things that happen in the match influence their behaviors. Allow the player to talk to these Ais with a mic. This will likely be possible by the time a battlefront 3 goes into development

I’m gonna be optimistic simply for the fact that the collection is gonna release on my birthday :)

Fun to see sure . BUT this needs to wake them up for a 64 player next gen battlefront game with crossplay and real support I just want to play with friends and family again .
So happy about this, I instantly sent the trailer to my friend who I used to play Battlefront 2 with, and we haven't been this excited about Star Wars in a long time!
Don't get me wrong, I loved the Jedi Survivor games, but being single player it literally is what it says on the tin. We play them individually, have a great time and then that's it, because of how times have changed we don't see each other in person that much so we don't even get the chance to talk about them. Can't wait to have that party chat open and shoot some clankers with the boys!
What you said Ozzy about this being a test and seeing if the battlefront name is still of interest, I believe you may be right here. I loved the old battlefront games. I used to play them all the time when I was little back when I had my PS2. But back then I could experience the online aspect of the game, but now, I will be able to.

The Xbox Version already did this with including the DLC for Both Games and the increased Anti-aliasing.
The only thing I'm seeing out of this upcoming release as "New Content" is just the Working Multiplayer Support.

7:20 another thing to note: a lot of people do not like the Disney era of Star Wars, so they’re happy to go and play something that focuses only on George Lucas’ era of SW. In my opinion that is a HUGE reason that people are overwhelmingly positive about this.
This is the first game I pre ordered in 6 years. I grew up playing this on the ps2 but was too young to really understand anything or even play online. I’m so pumped for it. I really hope the player count stays for years and doesn’t dwindle in a few months. Hopefully this gives us hope for bf3 or even content coming back for bf2 2017

I'm scared. I have more than 1000 hours, probably more in BF2 2005. The fact that they saw this as a the best option, mainly to use nostalgia as the driving force... Also, the 2005 classic _still_ has multi-player support through gamespy.

I played bf2 for years on ps2. Single player the whole time. Instant action, galactic conquest, hero assault and hunt. I am interested in trying multi player, but really looking forward to single player. Hopefully the "follow me" command is still in the game
I want a Star Wars Battlefront: Galactic Conquest game. A FULL Battlefront title dedicated to the Galactic Conquest game mode, with both online multiplayer and offline bot modes.

the only thing i hope they change about the space battles is for the AI not to spawn in ship in space made leaving your dock a nightmare at the beginning of a round you'd just get blown out of the sky in the first second due to how the AI was spawned in i hope they force a dock spawn for them
I already have the extra bonus stuff on my XBOX. You can play as Anakin on the Republic side in the Yavin Arena in instant action. Fisto has a killer jump attack.
Has anybody ever learned you can get other soldiers to follow you in battle.‘I’ve formed a squad of troops and I’ll have four clones following me. You can also tell soldiers to get off the LAAT
I always got clones to follow me. Pretty sure you can do with droids too. That was one of my favourite things to do, especially getting a squad to join me on one of the space battle missions and landing in the enemy docking bays 😂
As much as I love the fact the release date is so soon, I do wonder why they didn't say something earlier just to quell the rage of battlefront fans at the fact everything seemed dead. An announcement of this might have stopped you feeling so done with SW games for example

Same. I have more hours in that, on Steam, than the newer BF games combined. I'm not sure about this guy's opinion on the newer Battlefront games, but I didn't like them because it didn't have the same feel as the OG games. If there comes a time for a new Battlefront game, I hope it builds upon the OG games, instead. That would be amazing.

Now imagine Galactic Conquest online of scale of Hell Divers 2. You pick a side and with other players fight conquer planets from the other side of players - with space to ground seamless combat.

I think the best thing they could do to add to these OG games is to allow hunt on all maps too and let you choose which species to choose for the two fighting factions. Imagine Wampas Vs. Tuskens on a map like Mustafar? Like, just simply give the players all available options possible when it comes to match settings and gameplay. It’d be soo damn cool

Super excited for this. As someone who’s childhood heavily surrounded these games this is a dream come true! Let’s hope this is their wake up call for them to finally push for a new Star Wars multiplayer shooter. I’ll see you guys on the battlefront March 14!!!

I lived through both eras, I like the newer games better. Them stopping support or not making BF3 because of Battlefield 2042 and after the Mandalorian dropped was a huge mistake.

Bad Batch content. Ahsoka show, Kenobi show, Mando seasons, Tales of the Jedi skins for a younger Dooku etc. Imagine Cal Kestis and his crew from the Fallen Order games.
Id be interested in how they handle the front end - in terms of menu. If they download separately like BF1 is one launcher and BF2 is another I think it will hurt the online of it in the long run. If they can find some way to combine the two games and do quickmatch were the avg gamer can join a BF1 or BF2 game at the click of a button that would be better.

Also it would be cool to get a game like Jedi night Jedi academy combat mechanics. Battle front is cool but light saber combat could use some work on the play style side of things
I hope this sells well, not only for Battlefront 3 interest, but I would love to see a modern collection of Jedi Outcast and Academy. I know they sort of did that already, but I want it on PC. I will pay upfront, games from my childhood!
I’ve been playing the original BF2 on Xbox to get reacquainted with the maps, I’m having a blast. No online function but it’s still a lot of fun. Will be bonkers with player filled matches
Not that I’m very hopeful, but maybe high sales on this re-release will actually make Lucasfilm/Disney understand what fans want. After all, money talks. It’s the only language Disney understands
