Thanks for sharing this Christian! There are WAY to many shops charging prices/hourly rates as if they have recently attended a knowledgefest or master tech event or even bi annually attending to stay sharp in their craft. The sub par work for high dollar exchange is giving the industry a black eye and turning many people off!
I KNOW!!! There are 2 more parts to this. I couldn't believe the live 5star did yesterday showing a "pro" shops work! That shop used dynomat to hold tweeters in, I think caulk was used to hold down the focal k2 passive crossovers!!!! Only 2/3 drywall screws per mid, with speaker bracket spacers to mount to!!! Dean is correct too, its always k2s that get done "dirty"! I, as a amateur, have bought the 12mm hdpe to make my 6.5 door speaker brackets, using a jigsaw! ( I wish I could use acrylic with a laser!) I learned the braid technique from Dean&Fernando. BTW, THANKS for watching and liking:-)
