Also, the original harmonica player ( Lee Oskar ) isn't in the line up. Doesn't make them not War but it certainly is not the true sound of the song as it was imagine back when it was released. Shit happens. Also, I think the band has huge animosity toward Eric Burdon and do not like playing the song ? I am not sure or, when they perform the song, the lyrics are changed and or something to that effect. Not sure. For this reason, and I love live music, I just don't care for live modern versions of any of their songs. I prefer to listen to the original recordings. There could be other changes in the bands current line-up that I sure I do not know about. I don't see the original bongo player. I love War for their very unique style and sound. Many people do. As far as I was aware he played a diatonic harmonica not chromatic, but there’s no denying he is pretty damn awesome.

For this reason, and I love live music, I just don't care for live modern versions of any of their songs. I prefer to listen to the original recordings. There could be other changes in the bands current line-up that I sure I do not know about. I don't see the original bongo player. I love War for their very unique style and sound. Many people do. RIP Charles Miller. I live 20 minutes from Olathe Kansas where he was born. I am near downtown KCK.

But out of respect to your opinion, and each of these talented and gifted musicians performing with Lonnie Jordan; this is like if some pick-up band of unknowns were performing with Mick Jagger and trying to pass themselves off as the ROLLING STONES ! And charging real hard earned cash money to see them as such.

I wouldn't even see these guys for free, and I'm a HUGE WAR fan. I'll just stick to my albums & cd's, rather than see hired hands sing karoke and get all the credit for songs they didn't create and use the WAR name that they didn't make famous, while the ORIGINAL artists of WAR - Howard Scott, Lee Oskar, BB Dickerson & Harold Brown, now THE LOWRIDER BAND, are getting screwed over big time. It's WRONG, Lonnie knows it's wrong, and he needs to make it RIGHT.

WAR with Lonnie Jordan as the only original member, is similiar to the current SANTANA band, where Carlos is also the only original member of his group.
Bottom line is, they both play and sound just as great today as they did back in the day!

Makes me sooo mad to see all these wannabees with Lonnie. Making it look like this is the original WAR band. The LOWRIDER BAND is the REAL DEAL with 4/5 of the OG'S still kickin ass with THEIR songs. While this version of WAR is only 1 OG and a bunch of NOT originals. If you want REAL War music, the LOWRIDER BAND is where it's at. Peace.

Some WAR history: of the seven original WAR artists, there are five surviving original WAR artists. A producer took the original artists of WAR to court for the WAR name, and the greedy mofo won. One WAR OG bowed down to this producer and the fame the WAR name brings him, while his four WAR brothers who helped make that WAR name famous with their talents are forgotten because they aren't "allowed" to use that WAR name. So now hired guns get all the WAR credit for music they didn't create. Wrong!

We all know that Lonnie is a great musician, but we all know that this "War" hasn't created any music that will endure as long as they stuff that they are playing that was created by the OGs. Besides every REAL War fan knows that War didn't have a true "lead" singer. All the guys sang; there's a different lead singer on ALL their hits!
