80% of western aikidokas are not fully using aiki or blending but instead focus on using less physical force. this is also why it is common (unfortunately) to instruct the uke NOT to resist, because it would show the ineffectiveness of the aikido technique (because it is done with force, albeit very little force, a technique does not work against a resisting partner.). A technique done with blending or aiki, the uke can try to resist or push as hard as he wants but it is not only to no avail, the redirected resisting energy will actually make him lose balance and fall.
Wow, thanks for taking the time to watch the video and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Your engagement really helps us grow our channel. Where do you train?
I am often stuggling. I often attribute this to failure of staying relaxed and instead getting into confrontation with uke. Focussing very much on my arms and the contact point. So your advice is to just enter? The concept of striking with a sword in me causes this tension in my arms as if making a strong cut... How o I avoid this?
Thanks for your message. It takes quite a long time and the right instructor to work through this. How long have you been training? Where are you training?

nicely done. No strenght. Very difficult! But much better than using force. There is always someone stronger then you so why bother.
Thanks. 🙏😌 Glad you enjoyed it.
