    Just wanted to say thanks for your videos. They are very detailed and educational for new users as me. I just placed an order for an i4, 1PM and dimmer to test it towards switches and dimmerable lights, PIR sensors etc. We are building a new house next year and my intention is to install 24VDC FUGA push buttons in the rooms and wire them to my switchboard where I then install all inputs and outputs making it easy to access and trouble shoot while I concentrate all wireless interactions in that switch board room. Will be viewing your videos again and again when I go into test mode :-)

      Thanks a lot. Wiring your switches and lights as separate circuits will add a lot of customizability in the future. And you can use cheap thin wires for the switches. I ahve the same at home, older UTP wire is used for switches, easy to chain up to 7 switches to 1 UTP cable. Copenhangen rulz!

    Simply amazing the products Shelly is putting out. Nice product review. Here's a big picture question: I've got a big remodeling project (small house but remodeling all of it) and I need assistance in planning full utilization of Shelly's capabilities. I don't need an electrician (yet) but someone to plan, like a Shelly system architect. Any ideas?

      Sounds interesting. Maybe a facebook group? That will probably have loads of experinced folks and also some guys from Shelly as well.

      @@csongorvarga Great idea...that's where I'm headed. FYI you introduced me to Shelly Motion. I found them difficult to set up but once operating (almost 1 year, no recharging yet) they're flawless. Thanks!!

    Thanks for your interesting video. I would like to know if I can control a device that is in Tuya Smart network. There is a way to send a action URL command to turn ON/OFF the Tuya lights?

      No, as far as I know, Tuya is completely closed system.

    Great tutorial and works perfectly with my shelly dimmers. I have tried to use the same command with my shelly relays with no success. I replaced light with relay in the command to toggle the relay but it won't work. Have you tried it with the shelly relay and if so how did you do it.

    • @134mossy
      @134mossy 11 місяців тому

      Think I've found the answer which works. 192.***.*.**/relay/0?turn=toggle (or turn=off or on)

    how do you remove the shield in case you need to access the back part of the switch? i bought some for making tests and my experience is that the shield cannot be removed without damaging the wall. Have you any experience with this?

      Sorry, did not try that. Maybe putting masking tape on the wall?

    Is it also possible to control hard wired, non smart Light sources?
    For example: connecting a hard wired Light source to the switch witch is wired to 2 other light sources. And crobtrolling them with for example button1, let's say you also have a smart bulb on a night stand, each on one side of the bed and maybe a standing lamp in the corner connected to a switch with a shelly 1.
    Now is it possible to control each of These Devices with one Button each and have the Button 4 Set so it Turns all those lights on or off

      You would need
      3 x Shelly 1/1PM/1L
      OR
      1 x Shelly 2.5 + 1 x Shelly 1/1PM/1L
      in order to be able to have individual control over each light.
      Then you would create rules in the Shelly app so that on the Shelly I4 with Shelly Wall Switch 4
      BUTTON 1 = LIGHT 1 TOGGLE ON/OFF
      BUTTON 2 = LIGHT 2 TOGGLE ON/OFF
      BUTTON 3 = LIGHT 3 TOGGLE ON/OFF
      BUTTON 4 = ALL LIGHTS TOGGLE ON/OFF
      Just for clarification: The I4 DOES NOT connect to any appliance. It does not have any relays in it. It is a standalone device that tells other Shelly devices (with relays in them) which are connected to appliances what to do.

    danger! you can't connect live 220-110 AC(red wire) to Shelly Wall Switch. Max is 12 VDC / 18 VAC.

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  2 місяці тому

      No, regular i4 works with mains. There is a i4 DC which only handles DC.

    • @klim4598
      @klim4598 2 місяці тому

      @@csongorvarga that is correct. that's why you can't connect regular i4 and Shelly Wall Switch. Shelly Wall Switch is not for 220v.(red wire)

    What about dimming when holding the button?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  Рік тому +1

      I could not do it. I mean you can send an actual brightness value to a bulb, but there is no "reduce brightness by 10%" or similar. So this is why I could not do a continuous dimming.

    I spent 22 min. but didn't manage to understand: how this Shelly I4 really works? - does this communicate with another Shelly relay which do the physical switch ? You should have show us all the wiring - from mains to shelly, to switch and to bulb.
    Not explanatory enough!
