@@chancellor1462 Who in their right mind making 30k would spend 2k on this? You can get a d18 or a real MIA vintage Jazzmaster for that kind of money. But wtf do I know? I think they're ridiculous looking, but they're currently sold out so....
@@hurkamur1 You're right. For 2k you can get either a Martin OR a Jazzmaster, but if you appreciate having multiple voicings this might be a good choice. I currently have a Larrivee OM-3, but to have the option of the electric sounds and a Jumbo all in the same package is intriguing.

I've been skeptical about the acoustasonics, not least because for the same money you could get a good acoustic and a good electric guitar. But this one looks and sounds amazing. I just have to remind myself that I can't play like this guy plays....

I just got mine yesterday.. turquoise like this one. So far I'm extremely happy with it. It has really sweet inspiring tone and feels great in part because of the mat finish. Can't wait to try it on a gig, that'll be the real test.

@@ghostenthusiast7792 Yeah, piezo pick-ups have traditionally been associated with a shrill sound that isnt particularly enjoyed. A lot of times you will hear them live only after a sound guy has EQ'd out the pitchiness.

Please make one with a traditional acoustic body shape. Love the thin body, forearm carve, pickups, sounds, and feature set. But those shapes... I just can't.
Kinda defeats the whole point of the Acoustasonic line, though. The entire series was built on making acoustic-electric guitars in a familiar electric-style body shape. They could easily make what you're asking for, but it wouldn't be an Acoustasonic.
Mason is the whip and a great demo - you are an accomplished player and do a great job running down the tones..
Looks versatile and some of the sounds are strong and vibrant, especially the large body acoustics. However - I miss a tone knob - probably tough with the modeling tech - but the electric sounds are shrill to me and no way to roll off the treble. And the look is questionable - maybe a few more natural finishes on the top?? These look cartoonish to me - hard to imagine a 4 hour gig with this at any venue.
I will likely hold out for the next version.

The guitar sounds great and I'm still wondering if I should go for the Jazzmaster over the Stratocaster Acoustasonic, but could you not find a presenter that sounds as though they have even a little of enthusiasm for the product they're being paid to promote.
Hell, I'm 1% as talented as Mason, but I can at least pretend to sound a little excited about a product I'm being paid to sell even if I'm not that into it. And to be clear, I'm very intrigued about the Acoustasonic range and have the cash to spare to buy one so I'm trying to figure out what to get.
On one hand I don't want to be stuck in a rut of always going for strats, on another hand I cannot abide by teles so a jazzy seems like a decent option. But when the figurehead in your advert is pretty ambivalent about the whole thing I have to question whether that'd be a good purchase. I don't want to spent what is literally more than one month of pay on something that the brand doesn't believe in. Fender are better than this. Cashing in on big names is much more of a Gibson thing and I don't want any involvement with that. I just want a great instrument, that is also incredibly versatile, for a fair price.
Awesome, I had been watching all of the reviews and had not seen anyone play slide with this guitar. I started playing on a Fender Gemini II and now it looks like a new Fender is in my future!
