If there is still a license plate number on the emissions sticker it’s possible to find out where in Germany it was located. Could very well have been an US Army soldier’s car

@@lifedroid that Lexus is a US Spec one because the speedo is in MP/H. I live not far from the US Army Base in Grafenwöhr Germany and I see a lot of US spec cars owned by soldiers. When they return to the US they take the cars with them
The carfax report shows it was sent to Germany at least three times in its life and then back to America

@@onesykaranja2903 not at all. I got it at 90k miles and the only repairs I made was a timing belt, water pump and alternator. Mines don’t have air suspension, so I don’t have to worry about that issue (also, I recommend don’t buy one with it😉).

For real I have had nothing but these generations of LS400s since I was 15, Im almost 20 now, none of them being like the 5th or 8th owner had issues with them.
I have a 92 ls400, great car. Rated for 149 MPH right from the factory
He should get it and do the champagne glass test to see if it's still silky smooth.
I hit the 160 mark in my first one being the 8th owner and 300k miles in and it lasted till it saved my life in an accident.
That Lexus is 33 years old and it still runs well. 😊. Try for it!

Randy, I would like to see on your channel some Infiniti and GMC’s, and some old vehicles that you keep in a tow truck that you keep that you can tow and pull your trailer so you can pick up two vehicles at once
The transmission cooler lines on that little square body ST truck are on the right hand side of the radiator between the coolant hoses. Some years had an additional optional transmission cooler between the grille and the air conditioning condenser too.
The capped oil cooler connections on the left hand side of the radiator are for the optional engine oil cooler.
Lexus > Acura and Infinity. For the algorithm.

There's a nice looking town & country right next to that wrecked saab at 1:11. The only 2 reasons why I wanted to point that out are because judging by the fog lights it has its either an LXI (which is a kinda rare model to find) or a limited and the other reason is because of your "quirky" interests lol

The trans cooler lines are on the RH side of the radiator. The fittings on the LH side are for an engine oil cooler . That appears to be a replacement radiator they are designed to fit vehicles with or without an engine oil cooler.
Love the ls400, but get ready to pay for parts if you need them. They sound absolutely amazing straight piped from the cat back with an x-pipe
They should be asking 6,500.00 for the LS 400.
Fr the miles are low for that million mile beast, a good detail even ignoring the paint thats a reasonable price for this car.

Sorry Randy, the starter of that particular Lexus is located “under the intake manifold”, the dealer cost to change it was/is $4,500.00, the. The power steering hose, $1,500.00 from the junk yard, $1,200.00 for installation.

Randy I can tell you from insurance experience always keep your aftermarket parts if aloud when my 02 tahoe was totaled they were going to give me 3k as is and my rims cost 3600$ and tires cost 1400$ lift was like 500$ I took all my parts off and they only lowed the pay out from 3030$ to 2955$ so keep your aftermarket parts if allowed 🎉

Randy some times those older Chevys have a external transmission cooler than is not part of the radiator and it should be right in front of the radiator Charlie kretschmar Phoenix Arizona

Randy, i have an LS400, it is an awesome car. I also have an 02 bug eye Subaru Impreza WRX. I know you like the older GM stuff, so do I but you dont seem to have that level of excitement when you come across the ls400 or WRX. In a previous video you mentioned that heard that Subaru wrx were nothing but trouble, that is a myth. Main thing is to not rag them out like everyone does. Think about the wrx, where else are you going to find a 4 door car thats turbo and five speeed and has a flat four engine. When the wrx sti came out in 2004 it was almost as quick as the Porsche 911 at the time. Please look into getting familiar with the ls400 and wrx, you won't be disappointed.

I just got rid of my 2000 Lexus LS400. It was the last year. Second gen. More horsepower I think right at 300. The engine was strong loved it
Unfortunately I had some minor issues that kept me from driving on long trips and traffic and no one was able to seem to figure it out

Took my parallel parking test in a Ford F150 extended cab because my Mustang didn't have insurance on it yet.
The 1UZ V8 in the LS400 had a timing chain until 1995 when it got a facelift and some mechanical changes. At 180K-that thing is just getting broken in!

Hey Randy I just want to let you know on those 2.2 and 4.3 in that year distributor cap on the road but distributor cap was short itself out and you have to replace the rotary button along with it I have a 97 Astro van that did the same sing the pickup truck is doing and I had to replace that distributor cap in Rudy button on it and it fired up and ran😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
All the kids are taking those old LS400's and putting them on rims air ride etc, they are actually worth good money to the right buyer
