XP Trike ACCIDENT! - Repairs on the First Day :(

- I had an unfortunate accident on my first day as a proud owner of the new Lectric XP Trike! Repairing the damage posed several challenges but I'm happy with the results!
Hopefully I'll be more careful next time when trying to squeeze the XP Trike where it does not fit. Restoring the rear lighting involved troubleshooting, soldering broken wires and reattaching the rear tail light lens. Integrating the rear tail lights into the frame rather than on the fenders would protect them better but they sure look nice in their stock locations.

Nice repair and well done! I love that they made it just thin enough to fit through MOST doors, but, at the end of the day, it is still a trike I guess! Glad you found a solution to get it inside and the damage wasn't too bad. Be safe friend!

Everyone should know. I bought 2 lectric trikes for me and my wife last July. One of the trikes came with a bent wheel on the back, and the other one had two flat tires. Lectric ebikes sent us a new wheel but I bought new tubes for the tires. Now both bikes have bad rear axle bearings and the bikes are not usable. We have put 117 miles on one trike and 104 miles on the other all neighborhood riding. I sent video of the bearing movement, and noise. they told me I had to pack up the bike in original packing and ship it back 1000 miles just to get it fixed or replaced. I asked for a shop service manual but they refused. These bikes are cheaply made and service is poor. So much for savings.

I want to get this bike, but my husband said it will not fit through the sliding door of our travel trailer. I would love to see if you can make another video to show how you get that passed the door.

@LectricGo Thank you! I saw it after I sent you the request. It turns out that the door is only 24 inches. Looks like the truck's lid will have to come off if I get this trike.

You did a good do it yourself Fix-It job there on that light. Do you know if the company are selling three-wheeler bicycle covers with their logo on it yet?
I have not seen any covers being offered yet from Lectric but small motorcycle covers would work.
@@LectricGo would think that they would have came out about now with a bike cover with their logo on it like we got on our xp premium bicycles. But thanks for your info on the matter I'm going to call them next week at the end of it and see what the progress is three-wheeler right now I'm using a queen size bed sheet to cover my wife's three-wheeler in our garage gets awful Dusty in my garage it's detached from my home it's it's back from my home..

I can't get it thru the front door either. I need some kind of rig to get the bike upright and role side ways to get through my 29" door. Do you have any suggestions? I hope.

How is the seat with the back when goin over bumps? Looks like there are no springs like on the regular seat
No springs on the seat but it shipped together with a suspension seat post which helps with bump absorption. It's decent but you still have to slow down or stand up on pedals for rougher sections.
I have the up graded seat with back support. It sucks. Very hard and it won't tighten at all. My seat keeps spinning around on every little bump.
seatpost clamps on most lectric bikes have to be tightened quite a bit to avoid spinning. After a couple hours I do start to fee the seat is a bit hard.
Good repair! So did you figure out the best way to get your trike through that door? I'll have to keep mine indoors too. The thieves around here would steal it along with any chains, locks, or alarms.
I did figure out a way! i set it upright on a movers dolly (folded and front wheel up) with some spacers that support it on the trike frame. The spacers keep the fenders and lights from hitting anything and it slides right through the doorway in that orientation. I'll post a video on the solution.
My very problem as well. My door is 29" wide. I need some kind of rig to wheel it in side was and up right. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear.
