No, they do not return to Scotland. Season 4 failed to show that the Scotland of the first seasons lives in America, because in Scotland at that time there is only repression and misery. When Brianna meets Jamie, he has recovered much of what Culloden took from him: he has lands and settlers who respect him and see him as their leader. He even uses his kilt again, which never happens in the show. The reconciliation scene of Brianna and Roger takes place in a Scottish festival, not at Yocasta's house. Yes, Scotland is missed, but not so much.
That will never happens because Diana gabaldon will only write 10books incomplete nothing more nothing less because when you followe the Story in the books claire and jamie geting older and older theres no great space that the Story MUST END at one point it cant be a never Ending Story and it is good so.

It is more likely that this 5th season includes the stories of the 5th and the 6th book. The next season might include the stories of the 7th and the 8th (?)
Auf RTL Passion kann an die Serie mit Untertitel auf Englisch wohl beinahe zeitgleich sehen. Ich glaube zwischen dem US Start und dem in Deutschland lagen bei den letzten paar Staffeln etwa 2-4 Monate.
Das wird eine lange Wartezeit bis Season 5 in Deutschland ausgestrahlt wird, wenn überhaupt. Lese zwischenzeitlich das letzte Buch “Ein Schatten von Verrat und Liebe“ gaaanz langsam 😊😊 nachdem ich vor mind. 25 Jahren mit “Feuer und Stein“ in das Abenteuer gestartet bin. Ich muß es doch einmal loswerden... Die Verfilmung ist wider erwarten sehr gut gelungen, Jamie ist mit Sam Heughan sehr gut besetzt. Aber das ist nicht meine Claire, sorry. Wo ist der goldbraune Lockenkopf mit dem breiten Hintern, den Jamie so liebt? Caitrona Balve mag die Rolle gut spielen, aber man hätte den Mut haben sollen, die Hauptdarstellerin einigermaßen entsprechend der Beschreibung zu besetzen. Naja, hier wurde leider nur auf Modelmaße gesetzt, schade. Das gleiche bei Brianna.. wo ist die hochgewachsene, drahtige Brianna mit ihren feuerroten Haaren und stahlblauen Augen, die aus einer Menschenmenge heraussticht? Man kann halt nicht alles haben... Freue mich trotzdem auf die Fortsetzung, falls VOX sie denn in 2020 ausstrahlt. Well, Claire, Lord John, Murtaugh and Roger also wear wigs. Sam cut his hair a couple of years ago, because he had to do other roles. He is not bald yet. The wig obeys that he can no longer maintain his physique exclusively for Outlander. Same with Caitriona.
