Who are Kara and Nate?!

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment. We discovered the world of “travel hacking” & became obsessed. So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world. Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went home to “normal life.” We started this travel vlog to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with this lifestyle and did everything we could to keep going. 4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to ;) Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time. Van life was a major adjustment and so different than flying every week like we were used to, but we are incredibly thankful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎

The contrast between the fanciest plane or train ride and the pitfalls and pratfalls of bus life in an ice storm is insane, but your attitude and gratitude during each is what makes you two epic travelers. Doesn't matter if you're roughing it or living the high life, you're the same and having a great time. That's what makes you two, Craig and Aimee, and Eamon and Bec the most fun to watch and even more awesome when you're together. Love it so much.

Kinging-It should have as many subs as Kara & Nate and Eamon & Bec. Easily my top 3 travel vlog channels and the fact they are all friends and do collabs only makes me love them all more!
I truly believe there is not any other channel that compares to Kara and Nate. These videos are edited and made so well, the music, the drone shots, just everything makes me love this channel more and more. Kara and Nate are some of the most kind hearted people on the platform and every Saturday morning I wake up and see what crazy thing you guys have planned. Love yall.

Winter surfing does indeed sap you and you only feel it once you're in your chill clothes chillin and eating afterwards. It's the best kind of tired.
Winter surfing is extra fun I think because of the feeling of mastery you get (the entirety of the situation) and the "good tired" afterwards.
But yeah I loved watching this, especially because it brings back great memories.

Tromso has been high on my travel list to visit for a while. I love how that van is all windows, feels very wide open to the outside world. Love the tour of Custard, it's one of the best builds I've seen. And the surfing looked like so much fun (but COLD - I think what Nate was feeling on his lip was frozen snot!). And Kara looked kind of awesome as a blonde. Love this collaboration!

I love watching Kinging it, Eamon and Bec, Max & Occy and the vanwives. I had to stay home this winter (Alaska) and not travel so I would watch videos on UA-cam and live Vicariously through you all. Spring is around the corner and I cannot wait until the snow melts and get more daylight. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2022 and had surgery, radiation treatment and hormone therapy and had to stay home to get checked every 3 months. Hopefully this coming winter the check ups will be every 6 months so I can travel again.
I have such a different outlook in life because of my experience this past winter. I feel nothing but gratitude about the littlest things in life. Something like this changes your life forever. I cannot wait to get back out there and travel again. I’m hoping to start a UA-cam channel but that remains to be seen. Lol. Take care.
