I just saw your installation vid and ask for an update, then clicked on your channel and found it🤦🏾♀️ Ive had my locs for about 2 1/2 years, our hair texture is similar. The styling options get much more fun as your hair grows. Nice neat retie❤️
@@DestinyTaylorxo well I only use coconut oil and olive oil on my hair. If olive oil don't use it on your scalp or any other heavy oil. I always cover my hair before bed and I don't wear tight hairstyles. If you do have a somewhat tight hairstyle don't keep it for days. 🤷🏾♀️ I'm pretty low maintenance
I appreciated the explanation of the differences between the 2point and 4 point rotation and seeing in realtime how it’s a little bigger when you do 2 point . I’ve been locked for a year and 3 months now and just did my first self retie . I used 2 point since it was easier to remember when doing it on myself . Especially in the back
@@DestinyTaylorxo I absolutely love it! I've been trusting the process and getting encouraged by fellow loc'd folks. the community is super welcoming and I'm excited to se how my hair develops. Thank you for replying to my comment!
I just came across your channel. I first watched your starter microloc update. Sorry to hear about your experience. But glad to see you have figured it out. You are doing amazingly❤.
Welcome to my channel! I'm happy you found me. Thank you for the encouragement. Yes, all is getting figured out. and I'm updating you at every step xoxo
First video that I have watched from your channel. I subscribed and changed notifications to all so I don't miss a thang!!! Thank you for the detailed review ❤❤
Love your hair, when you do the two point rotation and you enter from the right and end down. When you do your next retie will you be starting from the right again since you ended down?
Imo I think when you're establishing your love 4 pt is the easy to go and if you choose to then switch it will work out better... I have DIY with a grid, about 330 of them and I used the 2 pt except one. One retie I did the 4pt and what I'll say is I felt like it grab all the strands that belonged to that loc.. that retie felt tighter in that area on my loc. But, I'm a 2pt girlie. I love volume..
They look beautiful. Great details given. NOW I'm assuming this is a permanent style. Looks like hair would have to be cut at the root??? My hair is thin. Is this recommeded??❤
Thank you so much! And I appreciate the feedback on the video. I wondered if I included too many details. Yes, I would say this is permanent, but some people have talked about combing their microlocs out. I just don’t see how I could do that on my hair. I would visit a loctician for a consultation regarding your hair density and if microlocs or sisterlocs are recommended. I can say that I thought my hair was on the thinner side, but the loctician who installed my locs considered it to be on the fuller side
Hi love. Question: with the two-point rotation on an imaginary clock, which ways are you coming from? Are you going in at either the 9 or 6 and coming back down at the 12?
Love, I honestly am not that organized, but I've seen some graphics and videos where this is explained! the info is out there, sorry I'm not the one to answer
I know you posted in another video, but want to comment here as well for anyone who has the same feedback. I will make sure not to put the writing in white

Thank you for throughly explaining this❤

awe thank you for watching. I'm happy it was helpful
Great video and love your hair! Were your locs installed with a 4 point rotation?
Thank you! My locs were installed without interlocking, but before I went to 2 point method. I had 2 reties with 4 point method
Super helpful girl! Thanks!
you're so welcome xoxo
You made this look so easy❤

Beautiful video
Who started your locs?
A loctician from houston.
Which is preferred? 2 or 4 pt rotation?
i prefer 2 for the ease, but 4 for the tightness of loc
