- Another retie video as requested! My routine has been the same since I've started my locs. I use the 2-point rotation and I wrap any loose hairs around the loc before I begin interlocking. This makes them look cleaner with no fly-aways. I talk a good bit through this video, just chatting it up lol. Let me know if you enjoyed it!

New subscriber here! Loving your texture and length. I will be 20 months loc'd on the 28th of this month ( in 2 days) and I have been doing my own re-tie since the very beginning. I wish I had some of the same methods while teaching myself over the first few months on how to do a successful re-tie. I have a few thinning locs and this is due to making them too tight as you mentioned. Ive had to cut a couple of them down just to blend in better. I have some that are still curly at the ends and some that have budded. Just like you, I experience different textures in different parts of my head. I'm looking forward to viewing more of your videos! Be blessed.

I’m in the middle of my retie too, will be 3 years loc’d January 27,2023b😝 I’m geeked! I am what I like to call free form micro loc’d because I didn’t part my hair just grabbed sections I felt were the same size. I did make sure to have an even amount on both sides. I had 636 locs with an under cut.

No they will be very tight and no fluff. That’s why I changed from 4 to 3 for volume. I hope that helps

Low-key I only instal smedian twists to get the loc look. After seeing this, I may go smaller and keep them in longer.
