What? You finished this game in 26 m? Thanks for the upload mate. In addition to b button that made the pods move to and fro or up/down, I think c button would make'm rotate. Was very useful.
If anything it's a clone. Although I would say it's more of a clone of Psychosis... which in itself is an R-Type clone. So Whip Rush is kind of a clone of a clone. Haha. But it's one of my all time favorite side scrolling space shooters.
14catorce md shooters are plentiful but mediocre at best, try naming one mega drive shooter as good as r-type 3 (musha and thunder force don’t come close)
@@kaneda4102 Eliminate Down,Gleylancer,Dangerous Seed,Heavy Unit,Silpheed(MCD),Bari Arm(MCD),Denin Aleste(MCD),Lord Of Thunder(MCD).In My collection have more 40 console,SEGA Mega Drive and Super Famicom/NES both.The SFC have great games(especially RPG),but MD is well rounded console(fastest CPU and higher resolution).
@@arrigolazzaretto6973 , bringing up the MCD is kind of cheating here. It was basically a separate console that was turned into an attachment. If you're going to make comparisons, stick to the cartridge-based system (mega drive only).
Dynastes Gigas most of those games only really had the benefit of an enhanced soundtrack and maybe some inconsequential effects. Honestly, R type 3 is really amazing, but If anything I would’ve used Axelay as a way of showing off something that no console had anything that came close to. The thunder force games alone (especially the 4th one) is one of the best games of the era. Both libraries have incredible games, but only one is fabulous when it comes to shooters. And then the tg16 has both of them beat by a large margin, so whateva

I always played them both WAY back in the 90s. I loved those games.
One weapon I hated was the irritating "fire" weapon, which shoots in the opposite direction of where you press the directional pad

By pressing and holding B and C buttons, the wingmen will move to and fro along the chosen axis.

"Laser" was one of my best powerups.
"Pods" is a great power for assistance.

shooters on the snes are garbage...with slowdows....aero fighters the only game on that system
xtreme gold it gets judged on the early releases R-type and gradius. R-type 3, Super aleste, axelay all superior to any md release.
side-scrolling space shooters are just as common as any other game genre.
