HMS Tiger was the sole member of her class, she was laid down 20th June 1912 and commissioned on 3rd October 1914.
At her launch she was the most heavily armoured battlecruiser in the Royal Navy.
At the outbreak of WW1 she was assigned to the 1st Battlecruiser Squadron.
She would see her first action of the War in the Battle of Dogger Bank in 1915, assisting in attacking Seydtiz. After the battle she woukd under go a refit.
She would see her final battle of the war in 1916 at the battle of Jutland, taking 18 hits with her firing 303 shells, with hits on Moltke (1) and Von der Tann (2) not very accurate 😞.
She would lose 24 crew and 46 where wounded.
After getting repairs, she would be in the second battle of Heligoland but she would be stationed away from the German forces.
Post war she would survive being scrapped enter reserve in 1921, being reactivated while hood was under going refit in 1929, remaining a training vessel until she was ordered to be scrapped in 1931.
HMS Tiger (C20) lead ship of her light cruiser class, would be commissioned in 1959 and would be the 15th and final Tiger in Royal Navy service (Currently)
I've always thought that Tier 5 is more fun than Higher Tier from a team perspective.
Tiers III-VI are the good tiers to me. The game is a lot more enjoyable, people attack together instead of just camping the spawn all game.
T5 and t7 to me are the best t6 for some reason team mates seem like noobs
HMS Tiger was a battlecruiser warship developed for the British Royal Navy and the only ship of her Tiger-class. She became the Royal Navy's final coal-burning capital ship and served with distinction during World War 1. She was laid down on June 20th, 1912 by the John Brown and Company shipyard, launched on December 15th, 1913, and commissioned on October 3rd, 1914. By this time, Britain was committed to the war which began in July of that year and would soon bog down into trench warfare by the beginning of 1915. HMS Tiger participated in the Battle of Dogger Bank (a British victory of January 1915) as well as the Battle of Jutland (a nominal Allied victory of May-June 1916).
HMS Tiger became something of a rarity in the grand scope of naval programs of the period, being the sole member of her class. She carried a propulsion arrangement headed by 39 x water-tube boilers coupled with 2 x direct-drive steam turbines driving 4 x shafts with an output of 85,000 horsepower. The allowed her to make headway at 28 knots in ideal conditions. Her crew complement numbered 1,112 at the start of the war and this total ballooned to 1,459 by April of 1918 - the last year of the conflict. Dimensions included an overall length of 704 feet with a beam of 90.5 feet and a draught of 32.4 feet. Her displacement was 29,000 tons under normal load and 33,800 tons under full load. Armor protection ranged from 229mm thickness at the belt to 76mm along the belt and 229mm at the main gun turrets. The conning tower carried up to 254mm armor protection. Her profile was dominated by three smoke funnels are center and a foremast at the bridge superstructure.
As a battlecruiser, the Tiger was well-armed through 8 x 13.5" (343mm) BL Mk V main guns set across four twin-gunned turrets. Turrets One and Two were mounted ahead of the bridge superstructure with turrets Three and Four set aft of amidships. Additionally, she carried 12 x 6" (152mm) BL Mk VII guns in single-gunned turrets and 2 x 3" (76mm) cannons for air defense. Consistent with warships of the period, Tiger also fielded 4 x 21" (533mm) submerged torpedo launchers. HMS Tiger was the only Royal Navy battlecruiser outfitted with 6" guns.
HMS Tiger's first actions were in the Battle of Dogger Bank taking place on January 24th, 1915. Dogger Bank lay in North Sea waters and the battle involved the British Grand Fleet and the German High Seas Fleet. As Britain's greatest strength heading into the war proved her navy, it was imperative that the Germans deliver decisive blows to the force and retain control of vital waterways.
The battle formed with a German raiding force headed to Dogger Bank and the British intercepting the communications. Alerted to the inbound threat, the Grand Fleet set sail to meet them. Once spotted, the German fleet turned to flee and was pursued by the faster British vessels which eventually came into gun range and opened fire. Shells were then exchanged as both sides lost use of vessels. Miscommunications eventually saw the British fleet break their action and the battle ended. Losses included one British battlecruiser and destroyer put out of action along with 15 killed and 32 wounded and one German cruiser sunk (SMS Blucher) and a battlecruiser damaged. However, the Germans suffered mightily with 954 dead and 80 wounded. A further 189 became prisoners of war. The battle proved a decisive British naval victory - an early motivational claim in what would turn out to be a year's long war. During the battle, HMS Tiger received six direct hits, losing control of turret Three. In turn, her fast-firing guns landed only two direct hits despite the 355 shells fired.
After refit in December of 1915, her next action was during the famous Battle of Jutland - the grandest of the naval battles of World War 1. The confrontation also marked the only battle of the war which showcased battleships on both sides. A combined British-Australian-Canadian force faced off against the German High Seas Fleet in the area near Denmark, north of the German shoreline and sought of the Norwegian shoreline. The battle ranged from May 31st to June 1st, 1916.
During Jutland, Tiger took eighteen direct hits - primarily from SMS Moltke - killing twenty-four and wounding forty-six, but was not knocked out of action. Despite her light armor scheme, Tiger managed hits across non-vital sections of her design. As such, battlecruisers held a "sink-or-swim" nature about them, their survival largely dependent on where they were hit and by what weapon. Again, Tiger fired projectiles numbered in the hundreds and managed fewer than 50% as direct hits on the enemy. After the battle. Tiger sailed to Rosyth Dockyard in Scottish waters for repairs.
World War I was concluded in 1918 when the Treaty of Versailles was signed, which HMS Tiger was retained in post-war service as part of the Atlantic Fleet before being set in reserve in August of 1921 and relegated as a training vessel from 1924 onwards. HMS Tiger was in active commissioned service until 1931 and decommissioned on May 15th of that year. Like other storied warships before and after her, she was sold for scrapping - this in February 1932, bringing about an unfitting end to her sea-going career.

You speak the truth man. Tier 4 and 5 have had the greatest team play lately. Tier 6 and 7 has just been people saying negative when I request support in a DD, while they rush into a crossfire outnumbered or chill at the back. My whole team is competent at lower tiers, I'm lucky if i get two good teammates at high tier.
got the tiger yesterday, smack AL Hood on there with a disper/agile hybrid along with AL new jersey and Scharnhorst inspirations and it becomes a relatively accurate ship topping 30.5 knots with a ruddershift of 12 secons

Just finished my first game in the Tiger. 141,000 damage and a Kraken. I like these boats.
When you unlock Fisher from the Calendar, will you do a part 2 of Meet the... with the Fisher Commander which it feels like it was made for these Ships.

Most of my games now are tier 4/5 and getting much better results, that and the team work is much better

Tier 4 and 5 is where the fun is especially being a free player. People in higher tiers think they can buy skill

It wasn't a reaction. It was parallel development. Lion and Princess Royal were the first units of the "Splendid Cats". Queen Mary was a slightly improved version of the same. Tiger was a radically improved version benefiting from the experience of the previous ships. The Japanese at this time were all about learning to build their own capital ships (starting with battlecruisers) from the British and were perfectly aware of what was going on development-wise: similar solutions to similar problems.
I find myself back here after playing a match in the derflinger nd getting torped by the tiger. I js spent 10 minutes looking at the ship tryna find the torp tubes b4 I said fuck it nd looked up the ship. Wtf. Anyway, glad to see you're still makin content spartan

For my Tiger I've been running Madden with the heals/fire protection and i haven't had this much fun in a couple months.
The torp tubes are... jarring at first. Weird, weird angled single tubes
But at the moment everyone is still learning the weak spots so you feel a little invincible 😂😎

Playing in wows legend mobile and I'm enjoying this line as well as the RN BB line. Got experience already playing in PC version so now trying the mobile as I don't have console.

I agree with you about the lower tiers producing better quality and or more entertaining matches
It can go so wrong so fast at T-7 + ....and the amount of complaining about teammates is not constructive.
Especially when some CCs find a way to complain in almost every video. I understand that at T-7 and up the players should be better and have a more complete grasp on the game. but poop happens! the best laid plans don't mean poop when the battle starts. keep it fluid.
not saying you do this but its a thing. lol
I feel its a lot like built vs bought. FTP player are learning as they go, and it can take awhile to grind ships, so they have more expertise than someone who is buying their way up.

generally i hear Musashi commander is better than Yamato due to the 4th row skill. If you go to Jankenomics Channel then go to his Update Day Stream, he tends to talk about them there.

Well, the British built the first couple of Kongos for the IJN anyway, so you can't really blame them for building a version for themselves too.
Loving the line. Will only ever put in the one request. Only when possible. Once hated on a little but it’s by far my highest win rate ship. Maybe things have changed. Slow guns. Slow speed.. bad everything really.. but the guns go BANG: Orion 😊.

I've personally been enjoying the Queen Elizabeth. Lethally accurate and with a maximum of 12k damage for AP shells....very dangerous at range.

Is there a reason you don’t use BIG 7 perk on your Nelson commander??
He switches it depending on the ship. Conqueror he will use it, but Queen Elizabeth he switches to Criss Cross as he doesn't need the extra HE damage.
I use it on HE builds but prefer to take it off when I use AP more as I get more Penetration
