My two favorite basher tires. I run the Trenchers when running in asphalt, since the Badlands tend to wear very quickly on asphalt. I prefer the Badlands off road, more grip.
Bad lands great for dirt grass good but to much grip street ok. Trenchers are a at tire not the best on dirt or street or grass but real good at all. Most of us do mixed driving so I agree with you trenchers for where your driving. But don't get rid of those bad lands save them for your dirt mud runs. That's how I do it. I bought badlands first only to realise I do less dirt mud and the had to much grip on grass and wearing out faster on street. So I bought trenchers for all terrain driving there on my car 90 percent of the time. Hope it helps some one tight on cash to get right tire first. Great review I can even see the trenchers able to spin more on grass for more controlled turns while you feathered controller.
Hi there! Can you do a separate video of all the hop ups or upgrades for the MT plus 2? I have one and would really love to see how I can improved it's performance as a whole
What did characteristics did you prefer the trenchers over the badlands? Looks like trenchers should have less horizontal hook up allowing it to slide instead of traction roll? Did you loose control in the air with smaller tires? Less ability to nose up on throttle, etc?
The belted trenches suit this truck really well! I did notice you were nose down on the majority big the jumps though 🤔 Maybe hit the ramp with more speed. You have a great jump spot right there. Parking lot onto a grass area is perfect 👌
Yeah I try to land on grass as much as I can. Sorta helps with my bad landings. I actually was trying to hit the ramp with more speed compared to gunning it right at the end like I usually do. It didn't seem to be working for me. It could also be my set up. Those are stiffer springs. I will get this truck dialed in soon.
What weight diff fluid you running in the center? I went with 500k and the diff heats like crazy. I was almost gonna put my Traxxas 20 million weight in it but wondered if that’d stress the drivetrain too much.
Had a question about the proline sc. You said the diffs are small, how much smaller are they compared to the arrma 6s box diffs? Just trying to put them in perspective. Thanks sorry to jump of subject.
Very good stuff Jason! I have the same truck, did upgrade the diffs at all on the truck? I did 500k in the center and 100k in the front, and she still balloons on the stock tires with a ton of swaying. Now I might go to the trenchers you mention. Would you up the pinion even on the trenchers?
Also I want to add I have a haboa on order and looks like custom heatsink because of that motor mount. Don't know what route you are going but found a cheap generic clip on heatsink I'll cut into 2 and put on both sides of that center motor mount with thermal paste and rig up a fan after the fact. Haven't figured out fan location yet but might be up stream between the roll cage blowing towards vs on top.
Hey Jason , are you still running 500k in your centre diff !? . I have this truck and I've been killing centre diffs so quickly it's rediculous using 500k . So much so it's really put me off the truck tbh . My centre diff is literally melting to the point of no return within two runs on 4s lipo ! . I don't get it ! . Have spoken to Hobao and they're looking into it .
@@VallonesRCHobby yeah I've switched to using silicone earplugs now to basically lock the centre up but not quite and all is well ! . Yeah stock tires . Which I realise doesn't help . But I can't afford prolines at the moment
First thing I thought when you started the run was how much sod you were going to displace with the trenchers. I’m partially disappointed we didn’t see that.😝

Belted or non belted for mostly street and occasional dirt?

Yay. Ive been waiting for another video 😃
Awesome review. I just got a traxxas summit, are these the 10166-10? How have they been holding up

Actually it’s not the speed. It’s the throttle position once you are in the air

belted tires could be the problem too@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs

I know this is old but how would you rate this truck vs Erevo 2.0.
I watched this video and idmedietly orders a set of 3.8 trencherX and raid wheels with 20 mm aluminum proline hubs.
Hi Jason how does this truck stand against the xmaxx size wise, is it alot smaller or close to the same size.

Where did you get that tool from???👀
Looking for a set for the maxx and erevo 2.0

wow really? Damn that scares me, I put 500k in my center and 100k in my front. Are you still on stock tires?

Every time I run the trenchers on my kraton 6s the right cvd pops out.
Adjust droop screws or take shims out the the ball so the dog bone be push further I n drive cup
How tall are they both?
Badlands all day
Good comparison but you could have skipped the hub change out 5 minutes of saved time.
I new try the trenches but I will
Hello, very nice. new friend.
My 2.8 belted Pro-Line trenchers have no traction whatsoever I'm literally about to take them back off and throw them in the trash
The 2.8” belted Trenchers are the worst tire out there. I have them on my Pro-Fusion and they are useless.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs I have them on my typhon but they are coming off
hello that's a nice truck but I would like it as a Nitro Big Block peace
Be careful dude ! Belted trenchers are very heavy and will destroy your front ,centre and back diffs in no time..!
Wrong
