For some reason, I stopped listening to metal until I was 19. But I am so goddamn sure that CHUCK'S MUSIC is what pulled me forth to join medical school! I'd like to pay my respects to the late Chuck Schuldiner on my favorite Death song.
To think you were screwed of your life by a tumor. What I wouldn't give to have you back here to make great music for us all in Control Denied, and Death alike. I understand why the good die young. But why gods amongst men like yourself die young, it's just not right.
    R.I.P Chuck.

You can literally hear all the evolutions of death metal within Death's discography.
Early death (basically thrash), then more technical, melodic and progressive till basically modern melodic death. They inspired like 3 waves of extreme metal.

The best artists' styles evolve with time while also staying true to themselves. Reminds me of Bowie in a sense. Defined 70s, 80s and even 90s rock but always sounded like Bowie

Depending on what you call metal, "Fan Rushes Maynard from Tool" uploaded on June 27, 2005 by user "slvgdvg" predates this video. But yet again "Badass Snowboarding" uploaded on April 24, 2005 (sixth video ever uploaded to UA-cam) has "I Stand Alone" by Godsmack playing in the background, so I guess that was the first metal/hard rock song on the platform.
