Fire fighters are the ones that need to be paid a million dollars a year not the stupid do nothing ball players
i like that your right ball players should make minimum wage and high risk folks such as firefighters, police officers and emt,s should get paid millions
Athletes, Celebrities and politicians need to be paid less than $20K a year
Thank you very much I completely agree
@@trainman071 I agree with you, however i also think that nurses should be too. They don't get paid enough
Yet they get less than of what they deserve. Sad 😢😢
God Bless these men and women for their service. :)
"Dynamic Seamless Apparel" Its clothing burning, that explains the intensity. The Woolworths Fires took days to be extinguished.
Wow that fire burning like that in front of the garage door made it look the inside of an oven man that fire was intense
It looked like a rush to be the hoseman.
I wanna be a fire fighter when i grow up
❤️❤️❤️
It looks like Firefighters are fighting the gates of hell from opening up.
Yo Cami, I presume you’re on the job. One thing you need to take into consideration is, when does the first truck company arrive? The engine at the front of that building, it’s their first in. So, there not laying line to supply a truck. Also consider, LAFD likes to put the first truck company on the roof, for offensive ventilation ops. The second-in truck typically will “soften” the building for entry. Leaving the third in truck for master streams. Everyone has their own way of operating at a commercial occupancy.
So what.
Looks like they just went into making "HOT PANTS" That heat has to be super intense. Reminds me of Lansing MI Motor Wheel Fire.
We had a cooker in Scranton about five years ago. Sandone Tire warehouse burned for 5 days. Over 60,000 tires inside a former cold storage warehouse gone.
Some great framing of shots there, really nice video.
God bless all Firefighter of the World, stay safe lads and lassies. From a FF.'s mum
Obviously some very hot burning chemicals are now also involved. This is a dangerous situation. Back your firefighters out.
Just another youtube ff.
tough fire. But L.A.F.D needs to look at getting into the Tower Ladder game. tower ladders are much more effective then ladder pipes.
Easy to say when you're not writing the checks.
than*
Huh.
Pooties MahGooties You have that correct. Who will give you a million dollars to get a Tower Ladder and that’s for a small one plus all the things you have to put on it. The last engine/ rescue truck we got in our town was about seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
Or at the very least put a halyard system on their aerials so they don't have to put a man up there to operate the pipe. LAFD are pros but that just doesn't make sense to me when there's an option; just one more way to get a man hurt and there's certainly enough of those already.
Reminds me of the Warehouse Fire that killed all those poor souls living in it. Rest In Peace 😢
La police pd department
I thank you Greg for one more awesome video !
Why do they leave the water in just one stop? I would think moving back and forth would cover more area and put it out faster? Its just a question, please don't chastise me for asking a question. But an explanation of how dumping hundreds of gallons of water in one spot will put it out faster than the same hundreds of gallons over a larger area? And Go!
YES!!!, that´s called "Blitz Attack"...and you brilliantly arrived to that conclusion by yourself. FFs haveused that tactic since 60`s but it becomes dormant, then it´s applied, then dormant and so on...
good golly. it seems so overwhelming, what do you even do against a fire that big?? hose upon hose upon hose and it barely seems enough.
All those chain saw engines wailing sounds like my neighbourhood on any weekend! I live in the bush. (Yes they are metal chop saws. They are the same engines as chain saws. There - saved you all from correcting me).
Very brave and courageous men
What a fire. Thank you
How many alarms on this fire? That appears pretty intense!
This Fire’s smoke is also red.
Need a D9 CAT for entry.
I wonder if 1405 15th St Los Angeles, CA is still leasing for $13.08 USD/SF/Yrf?
i feel like sitting on the hose and spraying the same spot misssing is stupid, go in through the window
I feel bad for the palm tree
Don’t worry only it’s hair was on fire
Cool Video!
Fir
Reminds me of the ALPENA, MI fire back in August 1993 could have taken the hole block out😢😢
It is totally ridiculous, that in this day and age, with as many options that are available from fire truck manufacturers; Los Angeles Fire does not have pre-piped water ways on their ladder trucks so that they can flow master streams with greater water flow at these large fires.
Bingo.
They didn´t have confidence in the training theyself bring to their chauffers and feel that they can damage expensive telescoping waterways...
im a young painter, artist, but im thinking of becoming a fire fighter rn fr
Is there a volume and pressure problem
All trucks should have water cannons, I see that this helps firefighters a lot, maybe even more safety for firefighters, I see every fire that is scary. What if it explodes? how to know? firefighters risk their lives a lot.
Jesus, what is that a match factory?
Also all the math firefighters have to deal with on the trucks. Also seeing how much water there using how long it takes to put out a fire and how much water is flowing out of the trucks and calculating how much line of the hose there dragging off the truck to hook to the fire hydrant. They also need to know how long its gonna take to get to the scene of a car accident or house fire or incase someone is sick and they need paramedic or medical attention as soon as possible.
They need the water Canon on track to go inside the building
Wow. You watch to much tv.
What’s feeding that
You know what I don't understand about ladder companies.....it takes them almost 20 minutes together a pipe going to start extinguishing this blaze. What is the hold up?
The ladders in LA don't have a fixed pipe and in some cases a nozzle permanently attached, they have to get hoses attached to the nozzle at the top of the ladder before they can pump water. I don't get why LA doesn't have any tower ladders.
Like Nathan said. Apparently LA doesn't have pre piped waterways or pre piped nozzles on their trucks. So it takes them quite a while to get them setup and ready to use. Personally I think it's stupid and doesn't make a lot of sense. But whatever, that's their deal.
I hope everyone in la is okay and other people in the earth
One thing why did the owners allow it to get to this point before calling the fire department it doesn't make sense
Who Signs Off on These Commercial Buildings With No Sprinkler systems
Contrary to what Hollywood would make you think, when a I fire starts the entire sprinkler system does not trip. For that matter, only the sprinkler directly over the fire will trip and only after there is a minimum of 350 degrees Fahrenheit to cause the mercury capsule in the sprinkler head to pop. Liquid sprinkler systems are an assistant to the Fire Dept, they are not meant to stop the fire.

so many axes is ridiculous. All I ever see in these videos are the guys pushing them out of the way.
Burning wool gives off phosgene/ nerve gas.
did they finally put the palm tree out that was about to fall on them or truck?
I doubt the tree's structural integrity was damaged enough to be in danger of falling over. I have 15 years of wildland firefighting under my belt, and I've seen lots of trees thinner than that standing strong after a wildfire goes through.
Fact is they don't care.
Buy some Tower ladders.
Joliet fire station 6
Definitely think they can take that “Available” sign down ...
It's still available... just going to need some minor repairs and a good cleaning.Price reduced? All you can do is just try to make the best of it in this type of situation.
fire load is no match for little water
they r just pissing in the wind they more gpm for that fire load
Is ka part 2 our part10
Firefighters should at least be getting paid $100,000,000 per every 3 or 4 months from all the hard work they've been doing. Like from putting out fires dealing with car accidents, mountain rescues and a lot lot lot more.
News flash, they make water ways on the ladder with remote nozzles no need for rope.
They know that. For some reason they prefer their ladder trucks to be just that, ladder trucks. No pumps either by what i can tell. New York fire dept doesn't have cross lays on their trucks either. Crazy how some depts order their trucks
Oh my god
This is LA. Just have SWAT come down and explosively breech those doors , rolldown gates and iron bars. that would be a lot quicker than using saws. Or even better, have firefighters trained to do the breeching.

We talk about outcome...failure or success.
"Массивный коммерческий огонь" - на то он и коммерческий (что там горит?!): такие толстые кишки и двумя огромными псюнами в один проем залить не могут - фигеть. Не зря в омерике гидранты такие толстые и их много и блюдется за ними уход, ведь там коммерческий огонь. Вообще, сломать пожарный гидрант в США это очень тяжкий грех, поэтому в некоторых штатах (Новом Орлеане например) законом запрещено привязывать к ним аллигаторов (а крокодилов может быть можно?).
Once again we see copious amounts of water applied to a building when CAFS should be applied from aerial appliances and ground crews. Not to mention needing half the appliances and crews.
That's one big duby
Those firefighters should be more careful when using those grinders to cut through the doors. Don’t they realise sparks from grinding could cause a major fire!🥴🤣😂🤪
Hahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahaha hahahahaha 😆 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💪👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😆😆😆😆😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
So funny.
Well yea if you are stupid and don't know how and where to use a grinder with a cut off wheel

Don’t waste the water

That guy on the 2 1/2" line was working WAY too hard. You loop the hose, run the nozzle and a foot or so of hose under the loop, and sit on it. You can sit on it all day like that. And evidently, LA doesn't believe in straight tips...
