Great Presentation ! I have a few Seiko 5 watches and think they are easy on the eyes with there uncluttered dials , well built , priced competitively , and keep time just fine . Keep up the great work !
Agree and thank you 🙏
pretty great for the price! thanks for presenting it
Thank you 🙏 for the support!
Totally agree with you my bro! Love this iteration of the field watch of seiko
Thank you 🙏 for the support!
I like the general style of the watch I just wish they offered it in a no day/date version also that would be great
Agree, but since it’s a “Seiko 5” it has to fall under the guidelines of having a day date function.
@@SoCalWatchReviews
It should have crown at 4 o'clock (ish) as well.
I really don't understood why they changed that.
Have couple of Seiko 5's and Boldr with crown at 4 and I really like it.
I just got two of these for $127 each plus tax. (Thank you daughter who works at Kohls!). The 35 and 39. Put the 35 on a black silicone strap ant it reduces the height a bulk a lot. Had it about two weeks now. Still in honeymoon phase. About 10 secs/day slow.
@@michaelmcglothlin366 nice 👏
Hello, friend. Could you help me with the purchase link? Seems Seiko has stopped producing these and any I find online are above list price.
Always liked the 5FieldKX.
Thank you for watching!
I think this is modern Seiko 5 I like the most, and I would take it over the Hamilton. By the way are those the original spring bars? They look very secure and take full advantage of the drilled lugs 👍
Yes those are the original ones and thank you for watching!
Killer B reels Miguel Seiko 5 looks great, great field watch
I agree. Its an awesome field watch!
Thank you 🙏
@@johanvandersandt8904 thank you 🙏
why is this title exactly the same as @Chronometer Check's 2 year old SRPG35 review?
No idea, but thank you for the support 👍🏼
Actually, I feel hardlex is perfect for these field watches..
1. It is more shatterproof than sapphire.
2. It may acquire scratches which is cool for an affordable field watch that is meant to be used daily and in rough situation... but it is not as scratchy as acrylic which is a good thing
Thanks for your input 👍🏼
I love the look of the watch but unfortunately I had a bad experience with the 4r36 movement. lost up to 25 seconds per day. I couldn't deal with that.
Thank you 🙏 for watching!
Seiko doesn’t always Sapphire because they know when and when not to.
For instance
Not on lower line watches helps keep the cost down for them and the customer
It’s a myth that sapphire doesn’t scratch or as easy.
Hardex can look just as good when new.
Hardex and mineral crystals in general when scratched can easily be polished back to original.
Replacement is cheaper and sapphire or mods can often be an option.
The Sapphire shatter and shards can lead to more damage to the dial and watch.
😂
Who told you hardlex can be polished? Unless you buy a dremmel and hit the entire crystal you ain't buffing hardlex. Give me acrylic any day. Grab a tube of polywatch and you're good to go. Otherwise I want sapphire.
Unless your doing abnormal stuff your absolutely not scratching a saphire glass. Out here expecting a dress watch to survive manual labor job conditions.
@@argenysgarcia5100agreed ,i scratched my aqua terra hard on my fire place. sapphire was still flawless
My husband and I don’t like sapphire crystal. I had a watch with sapphire crystal shatter on me. I’d much rather have a scratch than have it shatter again.
Thanks for sharing and supporting the channel 👍🏼
Pieca unremarkable crap. You call this a "field watch"??? If you're going to die wearing a watch "in the field" it had better be a multifunction gem. I'd trust a survivalist manufacturer to deliver a suitable watch for the field before I'd trust a 2nd rate dandy watchmaker to design a survivalist watch.
@@darkbulb367 Thank you for watching and your thoughts.
Hey no offense man. I am writing so you understand that this is a collector/enthusiast watch in a “field watch” style and look.
This is not an actual modern field watch. Modern day actual-use field watches are Suunto, Garmin, G-shock type of digital functional watches with altimeter, barometer, compass, timer, stopwatch, etc functions.
This is a collector/enthusiast watch that is in “field watch” category. They are inspired by WW1 and WW2 watches. They are intricate pieces. Functionally, they are worse than a $20 Chinese junk Quartz watch. Automatic watches are inaccurate, unreliable, harder to maintain, easier to break, and costs more than most junk Quartz watches.
It is a collector’s watch. People buy and wear this because they have the old “field watch” look. No one is buying this as a survivalist watch.
WOW ! 10 seconds, and lousy Seiko did blow me away. 👎👎👎
👍🏼 thanks for watching
