I'm enjoying your travel across the country to Kentucky. It makes me miss being, "on the road". I also enjoyed seeing the night bandits at the campground. Thanks for sharing 😊👍
Thank you for taking us along on your journey. You captured the essence of that drive really well. In a cross wind it can be brutal especially in high profile vehicles like my classb van. If the winds are above 25 or 30 mph I'm done I just have to find a place to wait it out... The minivan handles it so much better. Gunther is the perfect road companion and so cute too. Thank you again for taking us along on your adventure. Blessings.
Very cool, didn't know that movie was filmed there. Very close to the gate being closed. I camped at a state park there, gate closed at 9 PM but the camp host didn't lock the gate. So many raccoons!!! Oh my that wind.
LV NV!! Haven't been there in decades!! Thank you for the memories... Glad you and G man had a good time on your trip, cool to see a trash panda parade!!!
I had a skunk come up to my trash attached to my awning in the evening while camping. That was sure unnerving. I was sitting in the chair just 3 feet away-🦨😳 he was tugging at thrash and I could imagine the entire awning falling down. In turn, Pepe Le Pew would then be so scared he’d spray. 🫠 Fortunately, I was able to distract the skunk by throwing some food. ‘Dodged that one. Learned a BIG lesson with trash-stash/dispose of properly every night. I can’t imagine how I would have dealt with skunk spray. Leave everything and walk home?! 😂
Wow you put a lot of miles down on that day……bet you slept well. When you said no fire I was actually disappointed, but you came through. Gunther is so easy to travel with. He’s a good boy.
Another hello from DE. Seeing you at the back of 4Runner made me realize just how big that vehicle is. I just started car camping this year in our Family’s Equinox. Smaller for sure, but it works. Thanks for all the footage. I can imagine it’s a lot of work to take us thousands with you 😅. I’m inspired by your simplified meals - which is just in time as I figure out my gear for winter car camping in the cold Northeast.
Your “camp outfit” comment about looking like an escapee from the psych ward…not a bad thing. If people think that, they are more likely to leave you alone! 👍
@ShoestringMartha that's what I thought the first time I saw anyone use Bluetooth. BIG angry guy walked by me..yelling. I found out after watching him and trying to listen...with window halfway up...his phone was in his pocket. I told my son and he laughed and introduced me to Bluetooth. It was my first smart phone.
I made that drive last april (actually a little farther, Santa Fe to Kansas City) and the wind is no joke. Also, that section of highway through Oklahoma is the worst. Thanks for a great video.
Your outfit looks fine..comfy!! Don't worry..you look great in anything. I'm shocked how well your mic picks up other people from so far away!!! Wow. But mom I'm a TECKLE DOG...ok they aren't badgers but they will do...lol
LOL the noisy neighbors were actually across the creek from me. The mic isn't that great. They were just *that* loud. I even edited out as much of it as I could. 😂
It’s camping. You can wander around in your PJ’s, carrying a bag of dog poo and strike up a conversation 😂😂😂
🤣 true story!
Another fine video to love. I like these road trip videos, seeing the country views. Gunther knows the assignment. Happy trails to you.
Taste “ nutritious” we all know what that means🤣😂, thanks for taking us along!
It’s fun seeing the “Main Streets” of the old towns. Nice scenery shots. Thanks Martha!

“Tastes… nutritious” is classic!
Means the taste is like "eating the box" that it came in ....LOL 😝😒🤮

I could imagine! Even in the 4Runner, my left arm got a nice workout. Glad it was at least steady, rather than gusty.
Thanks! for not calling those of a certain age and not being old!😂 Stay safe❤
Thank you! Getting around the best I can, at my age 😂
@ surely you aren’t in our club LOL
😏😏😏
@@ShoestringMartha Love your channel ❤️

LOLOL ...... 🤣🤣😤😲
Hilarious! Glad you made it out stink-free! 🤣
I do not live very far from Cheney Lake. That’s cool that you stayed there.
I just came back from a trip to the Midwest, and THE WIND! Safe traveling.
It gets pretty bad out here too, but that was relentless 😅
I lived in Las Vegas and went to NMHU. Nice of you to stop by to show the remnant of that movie set.

He really is! I wanted a fire, but didn't want to haul around the wood. Thankfully, nature provided. ❤️
Safe travels ❤

Trash panda's! Love it
Enjoy following your travels with Gunther!
Old school country music 👍
Hot tip; Purchase a small campsite rake for before and after cleanup, would aid walking about, also try Japanese rock garden pattern about the area...
So Zen - great tip! ☯️
Treat for your little Buddy
He'll need some Pupperoni!
Enjoyed the road trip tunes 🎶 Safe travels!

LOL I like where you're head is at! Since I on a call using my Airpods, I probably looked like I was talking to myself too. 😂
@ That’s even better!
btw we’re new subscribers 🐾🐾🇨🇦 almost ready to hit the road south.
Welcome both to the channel and the US! 👋😄

Hello from DE! I love your videos and your variety of music is exactly like mine ❤
You have good taste 😀

No lie. It was a tough stretch! 😅

I feed strays, and I have a couple big boy raccoons that come around
It occurred to me that Gunther probably thought they were kitties - which he loves - especially our fat tabby, Douglas, who looks like a raccoon 😂
Question: What is the bed platform you are currently using? It looks like a cot. Is it comfortable? Does it squeak?
It’s this cot. There’s an occasional creak, but I think it might its frame rubbing on the folded rear seat. 🤔 amzn.to/3AM8qGD
Racoons are all over Oklahoma.
First?!?!?!
🏆👏
