The sound you mean is mostly because of the pedals/effects he's using, probably a chorus pedal but the sound is also influenced by the pickups of the guitar, strings, playing style,...
The chords he uses are amazing too i mean the fact he can even stretch to hit some of those in this vid is amazing but hes been playing for a long time too
