Absolutely perfect! That’s as clean a 58 as you can get! Every little change you have done 💯 % accurate! Right down to removing stickers and changing seat. Those cream saddlebags match the tank perfect wouldn’t change a thing on ol’ blue! Taught me something: The true meaning of duo-glide!!! You guys if you don’t already know are a wealth of knowledge for us trying to gain knowledge! Learn something new everyday as we all do. The way you have a Theme/History/Music/knowledge & tie everything together videos are 💯 % as well!
You are a Harley-Davdison encyclopedia!!! With you we learn and enjoy mechanics, History, and you have your perfect Harleys!!! This Harley is pure brightness, every detail, those jewels and decorations. Stay slick and much gasoline and long life for riding!!! You are Super!!! ✌🏻🍻
First i gotta check off the box that says “knucklehead kind of bank account” and i just can’t seem to check that box!!! I might be able to afford an S&S knucklehead replica engine!!! They’re pretty cool 👍🍺
Wassup slick, SPANKY here. This is my favorite video, cause it's all about the panhead. You made some nice changes, but you gotta lose that mud flap. That pan is beautiful. I gotta show you my pan, 58 two tone ,green and tan. I dig your battery trick, pretty cool. Just remember...PANHEADS FOREVER.
Thanks spanky!! And E-mail me a picture of your pan!! My email is in my bio “about” section 👍🍺 FOREVER PANHEADS!!! feels good now saying it, while actually owning one!!! 😂😂
Wither you ride solo or with a buddy the funniest part of that commercial. Thought they might have said ollady ! Also congrats on upgrading from a girl friend to a fiancé , she must have a lot of patience.😂Dope ride Brother !!🤘🏼
Yeah i personally like when he said “the look of the lines of what your most unfortunate friends will see, as your riding away on the new Duo-Glide” 😂😂😂. For the record since starting my channel almost 2years ago, meg has always been my fiancé, it’s possible i misspoke her “title” a few times and labeled her girlfriend, by the way, I gotta watch what I’m typing right now, because i’m sure Megan’s gonna read this!!! 😂😂😂 thanks Buck. 👍🍺 SLICK
the black&white is beautiful low build numbers on FLH in the parts book flh heads where about 3 times the price of fl ones the bags on the 67 top off the machine great sickles HAPPY TRAILS
Thanks Ralph, glad you enjoyed it, in fact wasn’t that you in the Harley sales ad, riding the Panhead surrounded by girls, in the beginning of my video?? 👍🍺 SLICK
Your shovel and the pan are just two beautiful bikes. I myself have an old cop bike I picked up at a county auction back in 1963. Love the older Harleys. I stay far away from the newer stuff( 21-24s).Thanks for your video. See ya down the road!
1958, $1,300 adjusted for inflation is just over $14,300. The white bags on the shovel…..I think are a must. It completes the bike. You’re a lucky man Slick.
Bruh I ❤ your new old bike I think you should name it Elvis Your the man Im just some guy who watches the man who s doing it living the dream Just trying too keep my 81 Iron head sportster alive in the South of NZ Respect Brother
Great video Slick. I like that solo seat way better. I'm back i Jersey now, man that trip was fuckin brutal. I replaced my pogo stick springs with cheap aftermarket springs and even the heavy duty ones they sold me sucked and I still bottomed out. I finally bought original Harley NOS springs and its like night and day and you can get rid of that funky valve spring. Your 58 is a thing of beauty man!
Thanks jim!! Yeah good to know about the pogo seat springs. I did however just bought an aftermarket pogo seat post with springs for the Flathead, which you’ll see soon!!! I couldn’t wait around to find original stuff. Can’t be any worse than the beating I was taking from the seat that sat on the frame!!! 👍🍺
Slick I replied to this post and included the guys name and phone number where you can get the good springs but it looks like utube removed it for some reason. I'll email the guys name and phpne number if you want it. Jim
Sure yeah emailed to me. That’s why I can’t give you my email address in the comments because UA-cam will take it down. They think stuff like that is spam and people trying to scam people.
Thanks David, and yes i got some panhead battery stuff in the works!! I already got the stupid battery set up out of the saddle bag, and back in the horseshoe tank where it belongs!!! Stay tuned. 👍🍺
Nice hotties at the start of the vid. Your 58 duo glide is cool looking 😎. Yeah good move taking off the frilly buddy seat. The newer Corbin Gentry single seat is way better and agree the Blk pedals look much better. The chrome oil cover looks great too. Cool pic of Elvis with his Panhead 58 😎 . Yes I do like the saddlebags with the chrome around them on your 67 Shovel Head. It looks like a modern revival. Yes agree to keep it original, but I would have personally repainted / fixed the right pannier already, as your bike looks so good & the right pannier looks so rough & stands out. Ps Maybe just do a quick whizbang pertina paint job on the lid for now. The 64 Red & White Duo Glide looks in great condition as well. Great Dave Mann pics in shed.
Thanks Keith!!! Right on about the FLH bags!! No other way it should be run!!! Just took me awhile to find a single lid!!! And how bout it!!! Elvis is all the proof i need!!! 😂😂😂 👍🍺 SLICK
Well I worked on the front brakes on my 1970 . Which has the mechanical drum you have any pointers. In my video I showed that I had roughed up the drum roughed up the brake shoes and made sure they make full contact but it's still ain't much breakup front. I was wondering if you had any pointers Thank you very much..
Yeah moe, I just got done watching your video. Are you 100% sure that your cable is not stretched and that’s why you can’t get the adjustment out of it at the adjuster? put a new cable on there. is it possible to unbolt the cable at the cable arm in the drum and Wrapping the cable tighter around the bolt essentially making it shorter instead of buying a new cable?
@@SlickHeadCustomCycles Well I do have adjustment and I can adjust more if possible at the adjuster or the steel line going up to the handlebars I just don't think those shoes are breaking or grabbing like they should..
@@SlickHeadCustomCycles no I'm not 100% sure that my cable is not stretched but I do have more adjustment in the adjuster. So I'm going to have to read up in the manual more maybe there's something I missed or maybe I just need to get new shoes
There’s a process called brake shoe arching, i’m really not sure what it is, but I had a guy tell me about it when I was struggling with my triumph, rear drum and shoes. Maybe you should look that up as well!!!
@@SlickHeadCustomCycles that might be what I did making sure the whole shoe is used which I did I kind of ground down the shoe material to fit the drum. But I'll check it out Thank you
Yeah X tell brother AJ I’m gonna get the rocket tips, im not sure what the flash gordon exhaust is, but maybe we’re talking about the same thing!!! 👍🍺. Im stoked brother AJ watched my video, way cool. Thanks X. SLICK
@@SlickHeadCustomCycles yes there the same brother just what they called them ck the old show flash gordon then you will understand enjoy p.s. brother slut watch too
