I have never heard Bono discuss his mom and family that way. It was a really touching, human moment. Edge had a tear in his eye.
It is amazing how long these guys have made it last. Very few bands can make it work like these guys.

TheChief1916 the stones have been on a greatest hits tour for about 30 years. They stopped making music many years ago i.e. all money, no art.

Nice to see Bono settled down and showing some humility. I think he knows that he’s past his prime now, but he doesn’t care and keeps going because it’s what he loves to do and it makes him happy and fulfilled. Thanks for the 40 years of great tunes, guys. You are all true legends in music
He's always shown humility and acknowledges he can be pompous. He confronted himself with a "Young Bono vs. Old Bono" during Bullet the Blue Sky back in 2015.
He's not humble. The political remarks show his hubris.
@@tubeMonger I have read and listened to everything publicly available that can be attributed to Bono. His humility has been cultivated via his faith and humor. And it's there aplenty. Careful not to conflate his prodigious talents and passions for arrogance. He puts his money and energy where his mouth is. You might not share his political perspective, but I think you would be hard-pressed to find another artist that has worked as successfully with all shades of the political perspective as Bono.

Yes, as a musician I'm envious of their band having never had a close knit one myself - they are brothers or family as Edge said. It's incredible how they are as a unit.

I love the fact that every album is different and daring.. Every album launch leaves you in suspense as they are always evolving as musicians, and that's not just a cliche as some musicians tend to make the same claim. Kudos to U2 for always pushing the envelope, its always been a trait of the band, even with their early albums.

Where The Street Have No Name already exists... why write another one?
