Not really. The reason is difficult is because most times when you capture an opponents piece your pieces lose their coordination and your opponent gets play. Meaning you have to defend their advances for the next maybe 3-7 moves. And as beginners we are especially bad at defending which is why we blunder back almost immediately.

If Carlsen insists with the attack by Rxb3+, Then Ka2 and the attack is over.. The c2 pawn is nicely defended by the Queen on c8.

I reckon we'll have him as world champion for about 5 more years before the competition finally catches up to him and he's no longer the overwhelming favorite to win every tournament he plays in.

I saw this game. Agadmador makes an error when he says that Esipenko was short on time. It was Magnus who was short on time, 9 minutes against 20 for Espenko. Only in the end they came close. It ended with 6 minutes for Magnus on the clock and 9 for Esipenko. Magnus was quite impolite, he did not congratulate nor looked at his opponent. He simply stopped the clock, tore the paper from under Esipenko so he could sign it, threw them back and got off. Then he turned around and helped put the pieces in the start position, still not looking and not congratulating Esipenko. Then he ran off, angry, without having said a word to anyone.
