Beautiful place, really beautiful I've been there several times. Its amazing to think about the knowledge that is inside this monastery: all of these nuns come from various backgrounds such as science, finance, nursing, etc etc , absolute amazing
The first time I visited there Eight Years ago was an awesome experience. I had only dropped someone there and went in to the chapel. Listening to the Nuns chant was the most relaxing and prayerful experience ever. So similar but so much different to the Monks in Melery.
Sister thank you so much for your words on crisis. My hair is almost the color of yours. It is so good to hear you feel all this is temporary. At my crisis times usually a nefarious kind of air pollution late at nite when I meditate and say psalms. There's a psalm in Hebrew that starts I call on the name of Adonai. I go right to that and a mask after 3 nights of that it has almost completely disappeared. Thanks so much for your words of faith.
There is no place in Ireland as beautiful aa Glencairn - it’s a thriving monastery with a warm welcome and the most beautiful new extension should you wish to come to o retreat for a night or two or three .
Jesus was a carpenter , so their is nothing wrong with working with your hands .Their is great need for Christian trade schools in the US .Right now there are only two .
I have to be honest I can never return to the Catholic Church (Novus Ordo) I was brought up in the Tridentine Latin Mass was told it was Perpetual and couldn't be changed It was Christ's. It came down from the Apostles Jewish Passover. Christs Death Prayers. All the sacraments have been changed a New Protestant Church. By time I was 17 I was gone and so were many others I knew. My mother had abandoned it in five years. For 1965 years the Tridentine Latin Mass was Perpetual and couldn't be changed after sacrificing people in two wars and Communism they could change it.
@@jacquelineharrod6386 Jacqueline my aunt Sr Mary Kevin RIP was a sister of that community. I have little time for the RC church but at Glencarin I always found a sense of peace and it was very spiritual. Also the sisters are very much a family, close and caring for each other they are human and like all humans have off days but there is something very special about those ladies

I'm amazed that people choose that path, but we all get one life to spend as we wish and it is all our choice.
To all who read this. I humbly ask that you spare a prayer for my brother Andrew Iosua. Many thanks in advance, God bless.

Supportive uplifting
why are the sisters social distancing if they are cloistered? They don't go out, do they?
That's the reason the lady interviewer does not get close to the nun.....
