    Girls, Ultherapy HURTS a lot! However this is a good procedure and so costly.
    Also for the pictures before/after they used different light so it looks like there was improvement.

    • @LiveYoungLifestyle
      @LiveYoungLifestyle  5 років тому +2

      Hi! They have changed the setting on Ultherapy. Early treatments, where they used higher settings, were so painful. They are very tolerable now.

    • @LiveYoungLifestyle
      @LiveYoungLifestyle  4 роки тому +2

      Sorry I didn't answer the other question. The lighting is the same. It's all in the same location lit the exact same way. But I do know that MANY before and after pics use that high contrasty filter to show a more drastic difference and boost the look of results. I don't do that. If a procedure is not worth the money, or doesn't yield good results, I will tell you. I don't get paid to do any of this. :)

    Wouldn't most women want and or need the volume too? How long would the results last from the sugar threads and how do they differ from PDO threads?

    • @LiveYoungLifestyle
      @LiveYoungLifestyle  6 років тому +3

      Sometimes when you add volume, it makes you look overdone. In addition, you wouldn't want to add volume to the lower part of your face. A youthful face is not bottom heavy. It's more of an upside down egg shape. So instead of filling your face to disguise the jowls, it's often times better to address saggy lower face skin by stimulating collagen with a skin-tightening laser (such as Ulthera) or by using sugar threads. These are the same as PDO threads. The same material used during surgery.

    • @gailnightowl0423
      @gailnightowl0423 6 років тому +2

      I think the lower face can lose volume just like the top and when you put sculptra along the jawline and in the lower face it fills out and makes the face look more youthful being it creates volume.

    • @LiveYoungLifestyle
      @LiveYoungLifestyle  6 років тому +1

      Agreed! It totally depends on your face. I have seen people that lose volume along the jaw and the skin becomes crepy. In that case, I would totally do Sculptra in that area.

    • @missmerbella
      @missmerbella 4 роки тому

      @@gailnightowl0423 I agree with you. I know the "upside down egg shape" and a more "sculpted" look is "in" right now, but I really believe a rounder shape looks the youngest of all. As long as filler near the bottom isn't causing the face to look "bottom heavy" or to droop, I think it helps as well. A beautiful example of a full, not "droopy" face is Grace Kelly or Miranda Kerr. :)

    • @LiveYoungLifestyle
      @LiveYoungLifestyle  5 років тому +1

      Hi Jane! I really don't like giving the cost of things because the same treatment in a different city could be drastically different. Also, it depends on the area you are treating and the number of threads needed. There are too many variables that effect the price. Just like every treatment, we still continue to age (bummer), so "permanent" is really difficult to do. Multiple treatments may be needed. The great thing about this treatment though is that it stimulates collagen production around the treated area. Hooray! I hope this helps.

    • @LiveYoungLifestyle

      I only did threads that one time. I did not have any dimpling problem. However, @NurseJamie uses small PDO threads. I have seen others who leave dimples in the skin where the barb latches on. This usually subsides in a week though. With complications, the dimpling could last longer.

    When you get this, I guess you can't use NuFace as part of your maintenance?

    • @LiveYoungLifestyle
      @LiveYoungLifestyle  4 роки тому +1

      You totally can! I would just wait for about 1 month. Remember, these PDO threads naturally dissolve and stimulate your collagen to produce extra collagen in that area. So, wait for @ 3-4 weeks, then continue with the NuFace.

    would you do both threading and ultherapy at the same time?

    • @LiveYoungLifestyle
      @LiveYoungLifestyle  4 роки тому

      Yes! I’m a big believer in utilizing multiple treatments for each area. It’s similar to the concept of losing weight - if you want to lose weight, you don’t exercise. You also cut your sugar intake, sleep more, eat more fiber, etc. The best results are from multiple treatments.

    • @cynthyalohnes9478
      @cynthyalohnes9478 4 роки тому

    • @LiveYoungLifestyle

      It really depends on how many threads you have done. You would need to go in for a consultation. It varies from city to city and from doctor to doctor as well. Sorry I can't be of more help.

    Though the intention is good, they look like doll faces and one is overdone.

    • @LiveYoungLifestyle
      @LiveYoungLifestyle  4 роки тому

      Hi There. Yes, the intention is to not look overdone. I walk a very fine line as far as that is concerned. Part of what I do is to test out different treatments and share them with my followers. There is a lot of fear of these types of treatments and a lot of people waste their money expecting results that are unrealistic. I HOPE I clarify the treatments and expectations, which could help people make informed decisions.. But in testing out tons of treatments, I'm sure there are many who think I have an over-done look. To be honest, I naturally have a bit of a "doll face." I film everything I do. What you are looking at is botox, a neck lift when I turned 50, laser treatments, Obagi Blue Peel, an amazing diet (I'm a nutritionist), and GREAT skincare. My bone structure, nose, eyes and everything else is 100% me. Oh.... I did have my breast implants after nursing my 3 kids for over a year each, but I'm about to have them reduced.
      Have a fantastic day and stay safe.
