Nothing like stories of castles, and ghosts of Ireland. The Irish have the gift of gab, and story telling, I could listen to the Irish brogue all day. Thank you.
You might not like my accent so much ( Cork)
@@larmoran4885 cork also
@@larmoran4885 Oh I'm sure I would.
The stories are indeed good.
The narrator doesn't have an Irish accent though.
@@WiccanRai Oh, that was quite clear, I'm sure no one thought that.
It’s always a pleasant surprise when there is a new video of curious world
There's nothing like listening to ghost stories on Christmas Day.
The letter K is my favorite.
M.R. James would have agreed with you and so do I.
Like another poster I reside in the Emerald Isle, well Northern Ireland to be precise. Always love ghost stories and theres a few associated with my home town. Merry Xmas to you all.
I would love to visit Ireland one day. Play quite a few Irish tunes when I do acoustic sets. Love the vibe of the music and the culture! It's a beautiful land. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Tell us!
@Joseph Jr McNamara let me guess? No hope dissident dick donk.
The North is not Emerald?
Been an Irish man living in Ireland I can tell you this it might be all modern and High tech and on the cusp of the future but this land is old and the elemental spirits are still all around. U just need to stop and take a deep breath and listen ,connect and u will fell them. I can anyway ..
I have no doubts Graham
I smoke crack aswell
I know exactly what you mean. I've never been to Ireland (though I'd love to), but there are many spirits here, too, and I very much doubt that any land doesn't have any. 💚
Now now Graham. What have you been told before about telling lies? It's not clever or mysterious, and doesn't make you a more interesting person. It just tells people you're a bullshit artist doesn't it?
I'm fortunate enough to be a Paranormal investigator in this amazing country. We'll certainly never run outta locations here to investigate. They should have had Ducketts Grove in this video
Can Christmas Eve get any better? Why yes it can when you see a new video from Curious World show up in your feed. Awseome work as ever. Nadolig Llawen.
Excellent! I love this stuff . My family home was built in the 1800s and my father told me all about the people that were laid out in my bedroom on the ground floor ! I was a kid at the time , frightened the s*#t out of me but to him is was just a matter of fact. . So many ghost stories around the west of Ireland . Happy Christmas to all by the way .
Brilliant as always.
Christmas greetings from
Rotorua, New Zealand.
Oh sweet. A fresh batch of ghost stories in time for Christmas.
YEEESSSSS! I love when I find videos like this about my home, Merry Christmas! 🖤

WOW,
A very stereotypical statement,
I worked as a Barman in an Irish pub for approximately 6 years and i found them to be great people, always friendly, always smiling, very generous, admittedly they loved a drink but in that time I never had any aggressive behaviour from my customers, only great memories and some great friends so
im not sure if i should laugh or take offence?,
and im not even an Irishman!!!
im guessing your words were based on having a giggle, or the having crack as the Irish would say, rather than negative personal experience?
YAY ! Worked Christmas day and today ( health care assistant in a Nursing Home ) , so I am a bit late to the show . Many thanks for the upload , lovely little Christmas pressie ❤️🎄 . Not Irish but I am Scottish , so definitely have some Irish ancestors . Thank you CW for your videos . Best wishes to you and yours ❤️ and all the CW family . It's been a horrible year , please all of you that are having to self isolate or are furloughed , take care . Take good care of yourselves and those around you . Much love to you all 😘❤️🌹
Loved these! Not a typical Yank, I love ghost stories around Christmas! Have a safe and happy holiday everyone!
Thanks I hope you have a great holiday !!
Thank you, Linda.
You too Linda. 🇬🇧👍
The narrator can tell a story. A great gift to have.
Oh, lovely! Every Christmas needs a ghost story or two. Happy Christmas!
Not enough ghost stories at Christmas nowadays.
Merry Christmas from Washington DC. God bless!!
Merry/Happy Christmas/New Year to you all from Texas! God bless!
This has just made my Christmas with your vid!! Thank you Curious World and Merry Christmas everyone! 🎄⛄🥳
I read once that Ireland has a lot of ghosts due to the dampness from the rain. That’s why it’s called The Emerald Isle as well, because it’s so beautiful and green.
Excellent, as always. I love your 'Just the facts' approach. It's so much better than a lot of similar channels who over dramatise things. Thank you.
Merry Christmas from lisburn, Northern Ireland!
I just discovered your channel today and I am LOVING it. You are a masterful storyteller!
Superb! The quality of these videos just gets better and better. On a side note, I experienced the very same candle phenomena as mentioned in your Castle Ballygalley segment. I was a student, and my boyfriend lived in a haunted house in Maze Hill, Greenwich. The candles were the least of the hauntings, I can tell you!
Can you do a video 'Ghost stories of Wales ' There are two properties in Bargoed , near Caerphilly and Cardiff. Look up "The Ghost of Gladstone villa" it convinced a non believer and a skeptic. Now it would be interesting if you shared that.
Once again a very well made video. Thank you for the quality content. 😎👍
Youve just reminded me of a scary story I had in Ireland. It was more a case. Of strange coincidences and thankfully my sister was a witness going through it too.
Im looking forward to this
Merry Christmas to all of you from right here in Dublin Ireland 🇮🇪 🍀 💚🎅🎄🎁😁🙏🍻
I literally just sent this to a friend who’s living on Ireland right now. Ironically enough the video came out as soon as I messaged her.
The truth is out there. 👽
I dont get it. The video came out and you sent it to someone?
* "in" Ireland.
@@devilishmode it makes no sense to me what hes wrote😂😂
I think Adam was writing to a friend in Ireland when he got the notification for the video. So he included the link in the message. 😊
@@ladyshep neither does your comment.
Great narrated tales from Ireland, delivered in the usual unmistakable style. Looking forward to 2021 and some more quality content. Thanks for helping us cope with a terrible 2020 😃👍
Theres a ghost story from my area around a man known as "half hanged mcnaughton". He was in love with a woman whose father forbid their relationship so he set up a fake stage robbery to kidnap her but accidentally shot her. He was sentenced to death by hanging but he threw himself from the gallows but was recaptured and hanged successfully and his ghost is said to still haunt his old home.
I think I read about that one.
That’s a disastrous ending for both of them, all due to her father really
@@user-bj3jn1sq7y yep i know things might have been twisted to make him a sort of "folk hero romantic" person but we'll never know
@@CuriousWorldProductions yeah my town has loads of ghosts stories. Apparently in the 40s in a house across from where i went to school there was a case of a supposed demonic possession of a child and a priest went in to exorcise it and he came out and all his clothes were torn but again we'll probably never knoe what really happened
@@padraigpearse1551 Where do you live if you don't mind me asking?
Coming from Co. Antrim I know these stories well....... Merry Christmas 🎄🧑🎄🥃
Hi Linda. Im in Co Down. My girlfriend had her works Christmas dinner at Ballygally Castle a few years ago. She said she was glad she didnt see this video before she was there. I thought for a second he might have told the story of Buttoncap from Carrickfergus. I think everybody knows that one.
@@Roller_Ghoster I live just outside Carrickfergus so yes 🎄👍
Merry Christmas to you!
Love you Curious World! Seasons greetings everyone. ⛄🎄💗
Thank you, Brandy.
Brilliantly narrated and presented as usual. It was good to watch another presentation by you my friend, you truly are talented in this field. Thank you for this I look forward to future presentations.
Excellent content ,and beautifully narrated without drama.
Perfect timing. I Always listen to ghost stories on Christmas Eve. Thx
A remarkable sort of Xmas contribution....from the land that, ironically, gave us Halloween.
Awesome! Merry Christmas, Curious World! Looked at your channel the other day, hoping to find a new upload. Always fascinated with whatever type of story you tell. Sometimes, I think I like ghost stories the best 👍
Ireland looks beautiful!
Its exceptionally beautiful, especially if youre lucky enough to see it on a rare sunny day.
I love ghost stories.. Especially those from Ireland.. Much respect for Ireland the land of my ancestors.. 🇨🇮👧❤💚❤💚
TY CW didn't expect this today; been fighting w/ my washing machine half the day🎁⛄🎅🎄👍Merry Holiday
I lived in a 300 year old farm house in the southeast of Ireland (Wexford) for 3 years and not a whiff of a ghost! Even walking through the double story, 6 bedroom old house, I never even felt a twinge of apprehension, which was kind of disappointing.
Now I live in the northwest of Ireland (Mayo) and still no ghosts....except for this delicious video on this awesome channel! Thank you for the excellent material!
Worse holiday ever. Worse year ever. Thank you for the distraction. Your voice calms me.
Indeed. I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Worst, not worse.
Merry Christmas to you Curious World. Thank you for the gift...yet another excellent episode.
Excellent video Curious World! I find your videos interesting and fun to watch!
I am very impressed by your channel. In less than I week you've become my favorite channel to end the day with. Much appreciated!
Thanks, Donald. That's good to hear.
Ghost stories for Christmas Eve! Wonderful....have a great Christmas everyone!🧸
Merry Christmas! So happy to see this!
Thanks so much for this great collection of stories from my home country. I would love to listen to more from you about Ireland, your narration is so easy to listen to. A few places of interest for you might be The Hell Fire Club in the Dublin mountains, Castletown House in Celbridge Co. Kildare and Charleville Castle in Tullamore Co. Offaly. All have great stories about them, and I have experienced strange feelings at one of them.
A lot of the old houses and castles in Ireland, which are protected structures, have been destroyed by mysterious fires. These usually coincide with the purchase of the land they stand on by a developer and a planning application being put in for a houses and apartments.
Beautiful visuals. (Good stories too!)
One year later, still one of the best ghost video ever. Cheers, man 🍻🍻🍻
fascinating. and you listed all your sources. a beautiful and interesting country as were the ghost stories. keep up the good work.
The only paranormal channel I follow, it's just superb
A nice collection of historical and modern ghost tales. Really enjoyed it, thanks.
I like hearing about other places! This is great thanks
Yeah finally stories from my homeland 🇮🇪 from cork here. Love these
I live a stones throw from the FerryCarrig tower and always take a trip now and again around it, though most surprised to learn of a neighbouring Ghost story attached to it. It is a pleasant spot and I shall view it now in a very different light.
Excellent I hope you have some more for Christmas 22
I’m going to Ireland this summer and I CANNOT WAIT!!!
How crazy!!! I'm curious, currently in Ireland for a few days, and found this video by a chance
🎄❤️Thanks for another quality upload and Merry Christmas to all!❤️🎄
The stories my father told me about when he was born and lived in Ireland to this make the hairs stand on my neck. Ireland is rich in culture and history, also supernatural.
Great stories again thnx, Merry Christmas.
"have I ever told you about the old country? The songs! Oh Jim, they'd melt your face. "Ohh I live in a shoe on Moore Street, I'm a prostitute from Newry" - Bernard Black
I live 3 miles from Ballygally castle. The ghost room is given pride of place and left as it was hundreds of years ago.
I love this channel!! Great work, as usual
Your stories and narration are such a welcome change from the pandemic and politics. Thanks so much!
i may be an american but i love reading about ghost stories and legends from the emerald isle.
Beautifully told stories! Thank you!
Very entertaining and a very good narrator.
Glad to see you do a video on Ireland.
Merry Christmas from Texas!

Ahhhhh, what a treat. Thank you!
Very nice! Interesting stories I've never heard before!
Thanks CW! I love Ireland and the UK🙏👻💜🇮🇪
Great ghosts stories of Ireland. 😀 greetings from Canada
We visited Ballygally Castle in 2004. Very interesting place. We also visited Dundrom Castle 4 times (3 times after dark), and had a lot of paranormal experiences there,
My wife is gonna love this!!!
I am addicted to this channel. Any plans for a podcast? It would be perfect.
I like the idea, and I have thought about it, but I don't have time to do both at the moment.
Great stories from a beautiful country.
Merry Christmas from Texas

It’s getting (kinda) close to Halloween so I’m finding myself in the mood for some good ghost stories. I’m not even sure if I believe, but I did have one experience that I cannot explain.
My cousin passed away suddenly from a brain hemorrhage a year ago and we were extremely close. She was my best friend. When the program ‘Ghost Hunters’ was popular we used to watch together and one night made the promise that whomever was the first to pass on, if at all possible, had to give the other one a sign of some sort, never seriously believing either of our days would end so soon.
I got a new iPhone the week before and I still hadn’t gotten around to d/l all of my favorite apps, so I decided to hold on to my older phone and I’d keep them both plugged in and charging on my bedside table. The morning after she passed away I woke up and did my morning routine (coffee, breakfast, shower, etc..). After awhile I went to relax back in bed and to text some family and friends, but when I went back into my room my older phone was gone. My new phone was there, still plugged into the charger.
I looked everywhere. I tore the bedding and pillows off the bed, shook them out and remade the bed with clean linens. I looked in my jacket pockets and everywhere else I could think of, but nothing. I asked my husband and daughter if they had taken or seen it, but they hadn’t. So I resigned myself with the fact that it would eventually show up, and started texting my mom on my new phone.
A few minutes later my husband walked in and around to his side of the bed and pointed next to me and said, “oh, good, you found your phone.” I looked and right next to me on the bed I had just made sat my old iPhone.
I know this might sound like a chintzy story, but I still can’t explain how that damn phone got there. I like to think that maybe that was my cousin giving me her “sign” and letting me know that she’s okay.
Love you all. ♥️
Nice to hear a couple of stories from Northern Ireland as well - I hadn't heard of these before! 😁
You should make a vid on england an then wales and scotland👌
Great stories & narration!!! God bless!!!
Thanks for listening
@@CuriousWorldProductions you are most welcome!!!
Ghost’s in Potato Head Land, are too inebriated to be able to stand upright long enough to scare anyone but the nearest bartender ! ☘️🍺🍺🍺🍺
Checking in to see if I've ever heard any of these stories growing up. Greetings from Donegal 🇮🇪
Can you tell me a ghost story then .
The algorithm suggested your content. I'm a reader myself.
I like your style of reading. I'll be listening in.
I was born in Ireland and i am still madly in love with the natural beauty of my country . Is it little wonder that we have fought tooth and nail across the centuries to stop ( or at least try to stop ), invaders in it .
Why did you leave 😢
I was on holiday a few year's ago in Ireland and stayed in the Ballygally Hotel i never knew the history of the place before hand. After a few drinks i had to go to the WC and while there i heard the swish of a skirt go past the cubicle door it sounded silken , when i came out i asked at reception if the hotel was haunted and was told that the ladies toilet area was part of the old castle kitchen where i presume the lady of the house would walk about.
👻 activity is the best,👻 stories are 👍,good vid👋
An Irish woman here In Co. Galway. Its June 2021 here, 12pm and the rain is pounding off my window I have a ghost stories myself, from a home I use to live in, it was over 100 years old. The fire place was the original and only when we finally moved did the owner tell me the haunting tale of the house. The fireplace had a stone wall to the celining, it took up an entire wall. He told me In the early 20th Century the fire place was used as an IRA hideout from the British who would go house to house.... and you know the rest. Well this house had been used as a safe house, and you could climb up above the original Stove there at the time, up to two people could squeezed into it, and climb up and to the side and they would hide out there, with no fire on obviously. And Some Did, Things made sense after that.....
Just had a 2.9 magnitude earthquake here in So.Cal...We live a few miles away from the epicenter...Merry Christmas everyone....
Loved this. Ireland ghost stories? I think so.
Another fine production, this time closer to home. If I may, I thought that the narration appeared to be a bit faster spoken than usual. Sort of spoiled the mystique a tiny bit. Of course, it may be my hearing...lol
Happy St.Patrick's days! 2022🥳💚🧚♀🐲🍀🏰🟢🟩
That Mr Westropp's name sound vaguely familiar - was he by any chance a friend of Rev St John Thomas of Cappawaite, who published a book, "True Irish Ghost Stories" back in 1926? These are good stories, well told. My wife and I have an odd tale of our own, experienced in Ennistimmon, County Clare, involving an old house we stayed in in the main street. She felt sure the house was haunted, somehow connected with the death of a child. I felt nothing in the house, but certainly did in the town centre. We learned, later, that the Black and Tans had murdered some children for laughing at them in about 1921. Coincidence?
Thank you for those.
Love the music!!
