I hope those were store bought mussels in the pasta, or that this was filmed earlier this year. Currently there is a quarantine on the harvesting of California Mussels due to risk of paralytic shellfish poisoning. Please do not consume foraged mussels during this annual quarantine.
Hey man, love your videos. I'm planning on making the drive to North Cali this upcoming winter to coastal forage for the first time. Do you have an equipment list of some sort that you could share with me? I was really wondering what type of attire I should wear in the cold tide pools.
hi brandon, thanks! definitely a wader, something to keep you warm in the morning and evening, a hat if you like, crab gauge if you find crabs, bucket of some sort will do check the tide chart, always be aware of the waves and good luck!
