What I like the most about the X Factor days is that they were already pretty damn impressive just by comparison with other contestants, especially at their age, but you can really see how much they've improved since then, too. Damiano's vocal control improved SO much. A fun fact is that Fedez, que one judge who said he didn't like Damiano at first, is a big fan of them now and even attended some of their world tour shows. He was also their main competitor in San Remo, the music festival that allowed Maneskin to go on to perform in Eurovision. Needless to say they won, and Fedez took second place that year.

They were just babies. thing with X-factor is that the artists are put in categories. You have the groups, the girls, and the guys, and I think one group with the minors. Each judge is given one of the categories. And Manuel in that year was the judge for the groups. For Måneskin that was actually a good thing. Because unlike the others, Manuel Agnelli is the frontman of an alternative rock band called the Afterhours. So he knows rock. Manuel might seem harsh, but he's actually been really good for them. Of all the judges, he's also the one most likely to help the people on his team even after they left the show. The first section of X-factor has each judge build their team, choose who they want to keep and so on. It's only when they get to the live shows, that the public gets a vote.
After they were on X-factor, they got to record a few of the covers they did as an EP. Beggin was one of those songs. Then they ignored it, until after they won Eurovision, when fans started sharing videos of their songs, including the clips from this performance of Beggin. Somehow it went absolutely viral on TikTok. At this point it is their biggest hit. They have 1.5 billion streams with it on Spotify alone, and it's what got them their breakthrough in the US, and most of the rest of the world.
Yeah, it's not on youtube, only on vimeo. I hope they will react to that amazing Sanremo performance after the x-factor performances! It would complete the journey
Hello, you both! The ability to make someone else's song absolutely their own is one of Maneskin's great talents, because they have it all. They are friends and look like models.They are inspired by the 70`ies, for example Led Zeppelin (especially Thomas), Jimmy Hendricks, Iggy Pop, Glam-Rock like David Bowie, Ethan was fascinated when he first heard The Police (because of the drums), Punk, then Reggae, Rap, Latin-Pop, Amy Whinehouse, everything. And they make beautiful powerfull ballads. You can say, they are even born at the right time! Incredible....
I know that Manuel Agnelli (their judge) was rude with them, but he was the frontman on one of the best Italian underground rock band, and he gave them a lot. Before going to X factor he launched many unknown artists.

Manuel was super harsh he found them presumptuous at first he thought they wouldn't accept criticism and would be full of themselves and they were quite the opposite..in fact I find that Levante defends the group more than their own judge who basically underestimates them.. he clearly says that they are not interpreters.. he didnt't think damiano could do more than this so actually levante said of course he can do it too ( sing ballads, emotionnal lyrics.. ).. and now the band is known for damiano's emotional singing and his way of transmitting emotions .. so manuel compliment him to reduce his ability two seconds later .. fedez the judge with a piercing who didn't like them at first lost sanremo and maneskin won ah ah ! they love each other and are friends today, he even went to see them in las vegas and went on stage at the end ha ha! and Manuel sang a legendary duet with them that unfortunately we can no longer find on UA-cam but he was invited to their concert to sing it. They still have a beautiful bound! 🥰
