Thanks so much! This highlights Walter Parazaider's fantastic technique on sax and woodwinds. Could you possibly transcribe the solo he did on this song on the Live in Japan album? IMO that is his best ever sax solo. Thanks so much for all of your transcriptions of Chicago's songs. Thanks to you, I've finally learned to play them the way Chicago wrote them.
Great way to start my day!! I have played this song for 50 years it never gets old. Walter lays down some awesome licks and they actually lend themselves very well to guitar work too. I wonder if Terry borrowed some of his licks from Walt?
Richard - excellent work! Thanks for doing this. I remember playing this version in my old cover band (in the 70s) but we never charted it out correctly. This is spot-on, especially that crazy sax lick. Thanks again. David
Miller, Basie or Bach. Any genre or musical era, no one and I mean, no one, came close to Chicago/Pankow's arrangements, simply stated, none will ever come close... 🙂
All's I can say is "DAMN" !!!. GREATEST HORN SECTION IN THE WORLD...EVER!!
