Oh my God. I totally forgot how amazing this scene is. I mean, seeing this the first time, I had a heart attack. But recently, I just *really* got into Walken and I almost cried from joy. I love his character: evil, sexy, can dance(omg yea), and has an on-screen strip tease. Me-ow.
He was in his prime! He's such a manly guy. It's a voice over on the singing but he is a trained dancer which most people don't know. Fabulous. We are a similar age...maybe i'll try that on the diningroom table! Psyche!!
Great scene. The tatoo on his chest reads "Lulu", which I think is the name of Bernadette Peters' character, in case anyone is having trouble reading it.
@2ndAsstJizzMopper Lol. I saw this movie when it first came out, and haven't seen it since. Give me some credit for remembering the name of his tattoo! :-D
The cuts out right before Christopher Walken gives the end line. The tattoo on his chest is Bernadette Peters' character's name. He tells her, "If you're a tease, I'll cut your face." THEN the scene ends.
Wow! I can dance , I can sing I can act , I am Christopher Walken Ouh! ,Pineapple! More Cow Bells! Robert De Niro, Marlon Brando, Al Pacino , and Johnny Depp < the sum of ONE WALKEN!
scaringly enough, I believe those weird underwear were customary in the 1920s, in which "Pennies from Heaven" was set. could you imagine?...i am a girl, and if a man came at me with those on...it wouldn't be pretty!

The vocal is by Phil Saxe with Irving Aaronson's orchestra, recorded in 1928. The song is by Cole Porter. But the dancing is strictly Walken.
I love this clip, it always cheers me up. He's mult-talented, and I'd love to see him in a rom-com. He'd be perfect!
Holy smokes! Thanks for posting that, Kitty!
... totally agree: so good to live in our era!- keeping aside i am an 80's fan tho...

Hahaha, this is so good! I love the swag dancemoves at about 1:40... fantastic!
Walken is a Renaissance Man!
God,I'd love to see Pennies From Heaven again...
but can't find the DVD...:C
it's a voice over, he was dubbed. The singer is Irving Aaronson recorded in 1928.

BRILLIANT.

He overdubbed the taps later, but yes, that is him.
Yeah, but I'll bet you love the sock garters.
love to see him. he is outstanding and hot too. peace too all zeena mn
i totally agree.
3:30 the original twerk
wow...scary.
but one of my very favourite movies.
too bad most people don't get the humor in this one...
I watch it over and over. It's so delightful, and he's so delicious.

ya and a singer too.
i agree. he has training
Sorry the singer is not Irving Aaronson but Phil Saxe. The orchestra though is Irving Aaronson & his Commanders
That is frickin awesome! I don't care if those are funny underwear... it's still HOT! Great moves.
Yummy!
I'll have to UA-cam my drunk Christopher Walken impression... that's going to be ugly... the sumbitch sure can dance, though; was trained as a child!
WHETHER OR NOT?
It´s a surreal scene, we are supposed to see it is not him...some folks just do not get it...
This is a great movie but it's terribly hard to watch.

Walken is great, but he needs to slow down. He has surpassed Michael Caine as the actor who seems to be in every movie.
wtf
