Because it still does not pay him enough to live the independent lifestyle that he wants. Because that $10 to 15 meal he eats in a restaurant in Mexico will cost him 50 to 60 in San Antonio, because the $300 month apartment in Mexico will cost him over $1000 in San Antonio. Those quantitative and qualitative differences et up the higher salary and he finds greater fulfillment in Mexico, at least for the moment.

Yes ma'am. We're extremely blessed to be able to have American education and potentially make U.S money.

@@coolcarlosa66 : My grandmother migrated from Europe to have a better life in US. When the "American Dream" in the US was dying and I could have a better life living in Mexico, I migrated. I worked hard and earned every $ I took to Mexico to spend, it wasn't given by the US or any corporation, I earned it. No guilt about choosing a good and better life that offers less stress. Yes, I speak Spanish.

@@davidhuff4562 That's funny. That's exactly what I posted in some of the responses. Some people were a little in awe of this young mans move for leaving the "security and economy" of the U.S.
I was telling them how many left developed Europe to come to the U.S where many places had yet to be developed, not to mention many of the hostile Natives (understandably so). But they left home and comfort, because at the time, you could buy cheap land in the U.S and build a future for yourself.
Now the U.S, for many, is out of reach. You're either living paycheck to paycheck or you're able to afford it, but you're working all the time.
Some people can have the American dream but for many it's not the case. Especially those who come from broken homes. Which many in my generation come from.
Mexico, has a lot of culture, and if you're lucky to have some U.S money and are willing to take a chance, you can have a less stressful life out there for a good price.
I'm Mexican myself. I work in Digital Marketing, and I can't wait to be working remotely so I can split my time between the states and Mexico. My mom has a house in our family ranch. My Grandfather owns a lot of land up in a beautiful mountain where he farms.
What part do you live in, if you don't mind me asking?
