Ahh, there's nothing like the hot winds of Hell blowing in your face. It's days like this that make you glad to be dead.... You ARE glad to be dead, right?
it's like an evil version of 'a pirate i was meant to be'. Because lechuck will NEVER be anything less than a heartless murderer who'd gladly do everything lesser men threaten.
I love the sound of a (purposefully) sloppy trombone! This is really well done, it doesn't have that "studio" sound that so many recordings of brass instruments get. It actually sounds like you're listening to the players, rather than a microphone that's crammed down their bell.
One of the things I like about this theme is how it changes over the series, much like LeChuck himself. In 'Secret', LeChuck is a bit comical, and the theme matches. In 'Revenge', he becomes much more sadistic and evil, and the theme changes to fit that.
In the video game Sea of thieves they are doing a crossover with Monkey island and when Lechuck appears this theme plays but it is more evil and serious sounding
It was about LeChuck with the blowing air in his tar black hair, he fills the bravest one, with a jolly good scare, and shiver in all his bones, and the one who dares to be an opponent, his heart become as rock, his body a component, in the army of the demised, take heed the captain is disguised, inside a coffin he hear someone try to knock, as a passed away and demised man, he won't even need to wear a single sock, try to become a living person again, if he want and can, a man would be dumpt by his bride-to-be, if he ceases to be, if he can't break the chain, and is just a skeletal, who become as mental as a vegetal, in the bony army of LeChuck.
I get people saying this song is great but personally I hate this version. It sounds like a parody of the theme, it's silly and playful. The original CD version was slightly darker hitting the perfect balance of dark and light. I can accept this as a reimagining of the song for a concert or something but as the theme of LeChuck itself it doesn't work for me.
and the bonus is: if you don't like the new style, you can just rollover to the old version at the press of a button.... for all those old fans of the series who want to experience the nostalgia of the pixelated graphics of the 80'sand 90's :) Good times.....
My favorite Monkey Island part was the part in which you had to find an Island where le chuck was hiding and it was said "deep in the ozean..." and that was repeated three times and then it was said "and again" and "you know already"....
I heard a song at a car-show the other day that sounded very close to this! I had to look it up and it was Bedlam by the Bel-Airs. I thought maybe it was an old sixties surf rock song that the creators of Monkey Island borrowed from, but no! Bedlam came out in 2001 and sounds suspiciously like LeChuck’s theme!
not a surprise since they got the idea for the game after riding the orginal Pirate of the Carribean ride at disney (teh creators said so in an interview) and the simularities to the ride are glaring obvious.
guybrush: well i cant beleve your atrocity ! lechuk:enough of this talk *charges punch guybrush:ohh you can stop now lechuck:* GIANT PUNCH!!!!!!! guybrush: OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Am i the only one that laughed his ass off when Guybrush was punched in the Grog machine, Stan tried to sale stuff to Guybrush/LeChuck, and LeChuck inserted coins in the machine so the fight can continue?
Why this theme is not more famous remains a mystery to me. One of the best villian themes ever.
I mark the sixty ninth like of this comment, and by the gods I am proud of that fact
In the far away future, now it is about to become famous due to Sea of thieves
Ahh, there's nothing like the hot winds of Hell blowing in your face. It's days like this that make you glad to be dead.... You ARE glad to be dead, right?
Uhh... Y-Yes sir. I'm very glad that you captured and killed my ship and my crew, very much sir. Nothing like being dead.
Glad to hear it. Now what was it you disturbed me for?
S-some paper work to stamp
best villain theme ever

@@thomasm5488 Curse of Money Island wants its line back.
this is the music I hear in my head when I'm plotting to do evil :)
This song always make me smile and makes me remember Lechuck in his cave.... meanwhile...
Guybrush: I'm on a whole new adventure.
Bart: Growing a mustache?
Guybrush: No. Bigger than that.
Bart: A beard?!?
RIP to the voice of LeChuck, the great Earl Boen.
WELCOME BACK LECHUCK
One of the funniest and the best moments in the game is when lechuck keeps punching you all over the map it’s so funny
it's like an evil version of 'a pirate i was meant to be'. Because lechuck will NEVER be anything less than a heartless murderer who'd gladly do everything lesser men threaten.
Holy crap I just noticed that.
I feel embarrassed for not realizing/recognizing LeChuck's theme until it was specifically brought up Return to Monkey Island.
"Meanwhile... Deep beneath Monkey Island, the ghost pirate LeChuck's ship lies anchored in a river of lava."
RIP Earl Boen, thanks for giving voice to this magnificent game villain.
I love the sound of a (purposefully) sloppy trombone!

I have never even played this game, and yet this song is one of my favorites.
Remedy that and play it asap!
really? you should play it
arrrr woof le chuck
Icepick L Me too! I also love the Organ Prelude!
+Daniele Pearce Woof, Le Chuck?

Inb4 hype for Return to Monkey Island
You'll never mess with decent, tangible pirates again, you billowing bag of.....of.......of...-something that begins with 🅱️!
If I ever get back together with the people I knew from band class, I'll somehow get them to play this.
Wow, the second best game I've ever seen!
I feel so lucky that you happened to capture my ship, then murdered me and everyone aboard.....yes sir.....lucky
The 2 people who disliked this were probably Guybrush and Elaine.
This perfectly captures the comedy in the game while also giving it a “sinister tone”

PLEASE somebody make an animation of LeChuck and his skeleton crew dancing together to this! I'll buy you a grog. :)
LeChuck vs Davy Jones. Do it Disney.
Go figure where pirates of the Caribbean is HEAVILY based on? The first movie especially is very obvious
@@p_mouse8676 From the Pirates of the Caribbean ride from Disneyland ? Which was also a huge inspiration for Monkey Island.
The new version of this from Sea of Thieves is absolutely epic, I highly recommend checking it out.
LeChuck - You like to be dead huh?
Random pirate ghost - Oh yes Captain! How lucky you found us and kill us all!
I love these lines.
He's big, ugly, mean, and about to hit me again... D:

Why can’t I get this out of my head
This is the second best evil theme I've ever heard!
whats the first...? ohhh right
I dont know why, but I actually prefer the adlib/soundblaster opl3 synth version in the original game. Maybe its just notalgia...

I'd love a LeChuck origins game! See how he became evil and what his OG form looked like!
Technically, we saw his OG form in Tales of Monkey Island.
It kinda reminds me of the song the robot devil sings in Futurama when Bender's in hell
why the dont make a cartoon of this,il never know......

Here after beating Pirate Doom
Guybrush, Elaine and LeChuck should be in the next Super Smash Bros.
What would Guybrush do to them? Not breathe for ten minutes and then insult them a bit?
Ea lord of depths
Hmm, I think this rendition is well performed but is much too humorous. The old MIDI version had a certain malevolence to it.
Pirate Doom!
Aye!
Meanwhile......... :D frakkin` classic! :D Thx for Ye` upload :)
I'm having this play at my funeral as they lower my casket into the ground.
The special edition has voice acting, and a sort of cartoony style to it instead of pixelated, its great! I highly recommend buying it! :D

Wouldnt you kill your whole crew to be a part of a monkey island game!?
Wtf..
@apex2000 And now the POTC have taken a few bits from the games as story etc, the circle continues....
@AIRludi Oh don't worry about that! just push the back button any time in the game and everything will be okay!
