- Hey guys! Today's video is the ultimate Melbourne city guide! I am in Australia on a working holiday visa and am backpacking the east coast. We started off our day with a city tour including the Victoria State Library, street art, dumplings at ShangDong MaMa Mini before finishing off with dinner at the Queen Victoria markets. The next day we explored the Mount Dandenong Ranges National Reserve park and Phillip Island - seeing the largest penguin colony in the world! Did you know that Australia had penguins?!

About me: Hi, I'm Anna! After graduating during a pandemic I decided I wanted to travel but covid had made things a lot harder. In 2021 I flew to Thailand to teach English and live as an expat for 6 months, and I've been trying to travel as much as possible ever since!

Loved this - brought back so many memories of my trip to Melbourne and seeing the fairy penguins!! Loving the Oz blogs 🤩🇦🇺🤠
Thanks Anne 😍 love the name fairy penguins!!!
Lovely video and I love penguins . I hope you get to see Wilson’s Promontory which is a 3 hour drive from Melbourne and is a hiker’s paradise . Enjoy your travels .
Sooo many good things to do and see in Melbourne!!
Yes its freezing down there more like Scotland
Haha not quite!
I'm never quite sure why Melbourne is so often cited as Australia's 'cultural capital' (seems like a very old habit and now, perhaps less deserved title), when Melbourne could equally wear the title of Australia's sporting capital. They're nuts for sport. There are lots of cities in Australia that could now claim the cultural capital title, including some amazing regional cities whose activities & focus are primarily cultural. No skin off Melbourne though, it's still a great city.
Interesting!!! We did love Melbourne though!
