Zoltan A - FTL Hard Mode w/Pause

Was buying Drone Control correct? yes. As stated, I was heading into a 2 shielded sector and anything with 2 shields and a buffer would be basically unkillable. If they have a zoltan shield, it's also a really bad time. At that point, there were 3 beacons I couldn't see so decent possibility they were 2nd store. Also, when I buy hacking, there's no way to know if DC would have been there instead. While DC was a significant hit to my scrap, which was low throughout sectors 2-5, getting a guaranteed bump to offense is the right call. -- Watch live at / crowrevell

Do you use a mod to speed up the game for training?

Yep. Cheatengine. Your computer will be worried of you downloading the program. but once you have it, using it tends to be straight forward. Go to File > open Process and select FTL from the menu. The "enable speedhack" and slide the bar to increase frame rate. If you have vsync or other limiter, it may not work, or be slower than expected.
