  • Atar Arad, received the City of London prize as laureate of the international Carl Flesch Competition for violin and viola. In the same year, when he won the International Geneva Music Competition unanimously and was the first viola soloist to had ever been given this award. The series of "Historic Viola Recordings" were recorded in the 1976-1978 years of his career and were re-mastered from his album Viola Concertos. Atar is now a viola professor at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University, in Bloomington.

    I find that part 2 of this sonata is more wicked, but I love the melody in this

    @Egon de Mattos: There is no such thing as a bad interpretation of music. You may not agree with his interpretation, but that doesn't make it wrong. Music is personal to the player.

    This is a very bad interpratation of Paganini. Most of the frasing is a real nonsense. I was surprised because Atar Arad is very famous and respected. That makes me very sad.
