This left hand harmonies are quite nice to be honest!
What does he mean when he says that it preserves your ear at 7:25? Is he referring to preventing hearing damage from playing forte too much or is he referring to your sensitivity to dynamics during the practice session?
1:55 Can somebody explain what is the purpose he slide the pinky ?
Could be in preparation for playing black keys. You slide so you can sustain the note while moving closer for a more fluid legato.
