Watching Jake and Amir will give you brain damage. I'm serious. You're not able to think normal, logical thoughts anymore. Because your mind has been reprogrammed to get blocked up by all these weird rhymes.
If I ever meet Amir Blumenfeld, I'm going to grab him by the collar and demand to know "What have you done to me? You maniac!" I'm not assuming he would be in character in this scenario. Doesn't matter. He must still pay.
Every time I rewatch them, I start speaking in weird rhymes and quoting unhinged lines from this obscure masterpiece. No one knows what I'm referencing. They just think I've gotten crazier
Honestly some of these just show these guys are actually good friends out of character good chemistry even now seeing how much fun they have just makes it better
I watched this one 72 times. Always thought the remote slap was unprompted but in Amir logic, Jake was being a diva of the highest calendar, a real tool bag extraordinary
I like how these videos have relatively simple names, so that it is easy to find them, instead of some random overly complicated names that don't make any sense.
I just had an epiphany. Although Amir often engages in the most extreme and repugnant types of anti-social behaviors, he does not have bad intentions. He doesn't truly want to cause harm. He has some parallel of Tourette syndrome that compels him to act badly. Consider the last two scenes of this video. Amir is genuinely saddened by the reaction of the hotel's management, and yet he still feels like he must make another "shove it" joke, despite the consequences. He wants to make this lewd joke, have the hotel staff accept/tolerate it, and still eventually get the meal he orders. He's delusional and doesn't understand social norms. I think the reason why Jake often feels sympathy for Amir is because he recognizes his friend has a disorder and can't help himself. The outside world usually despises Amir and treats him like an outcast. Jake is often his lone defender. However, Jake takes this protective role for selfish reasons. Jake sees himself as as "the average guy", and it boosts his ego to compare himself to the "lesser" Amir. In fact, when the tables occasionally turn, Jake's insecurities show and he displays that he is unable to admit when he is wrong or to refrain from unnecessarily criticizing Amir. Very interesting dynamic.
Jake is trying not to laugh THE WHOLE TIME
that's a great description of the entire j&a series lol
The outtakes of this episode are great. Jake just couldn’t hold it in

Oh Woops! Sorry, that is 3:14:P
if you watch the outtakes of this then you can see how hard it was for them to film this cause he was laughing so much
Lol love how at 3:16 Amir actually says sorry but then refuses to apologise a few seconds later
Holy shit! Amir coined "fake news" in 2013!

Covering his face with a pillow was the only way he would have been able to complete filming this episode.

Oh no!
I wonder why Amir refuses to apologize after he's already apologized.
Yeah, I was wondering about that
He didn't apologize, he daod he called to but never did.
TheSatan222 You can clearly hear him crying to the hotel staff member saying, "I'm so sorry."

There is no possibility whatsoever that Jake covered his face to conceal out-of-character laughter
Surely
@@BFancybones but he’s one-take Jake!
At 3:14 Jake starts laughing and has to put his head back in the pillow
Honestly some of these just show these guys are actually good friends out of character good chemistry even now seeing how much fun they have just makes it better
