My grandfathers old dresser had the same problems. All the racking would cause the brads on the drawer to work loose and come out then scrape on the side of the dresser. I would have to hammer them in every few months. The bottom panel is plywood so I was able to glue it into the groove on the side boards. This stopped the racking. I haven't had any issues since i fixed it 6 years ago.

Nice. We couldn't really glue ours because it was that pressboard and it was warped so badly. Thanks for watching.

We have an old trailer with a built in dresser. Some of the drawers fall in in the back because the supports are broken or gone. I have tried fixing it but finally gave up. Is there anything I can do to remedy this?

Sorry Carol. I would have to see a picture of the drawer to give you advice. There could be other issues at hand within the drawer construction itself.
