Disability Snowsport UK: Ellie Henry

Meet Ellie Henry, an actress from the Milton Keynes best known for her role as Freya Calder in the long running Channel 4 Series Hollyoaks.
Leading a very active childhood, Ellie was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome at 15 -years-old, leading her to become a full time wheelchair user.
After giving up her dreams to become an Olympic Gymnast, Ellie found a passion for acting - landing a role on Hollyoaks in 2022. As a self confessed adrenaline junkie, Ellie was looking to find an accessible adaptive sport she could enjoy in her freetime away from the stage and screen.
Ellie is the latest skier to support our #TeamDSUK 10k for £10k campaign this summer - encouraging join you to join #TeamDSUK and take on a 10k sporting challenge to help us raise £10,000 to help empower more disabled children and adults through snowsports.
Fundraisers are tasked to take on a 10k challenge of their choice between 26th July and 8th September 2024 - which can be completed solo or as part of a team - and could be anything from taking on a 10k run, swim or cycle, skiing or snowboarding 10K of vertical metres at your local ski slope - or even climbing the stairs in your office building to reach the 10k distance.
You can take the full six weeks or you can do it in a day - the choice is yours!
