One of the things I liked about the show was that when paul jumped to conclusions and tried to scold rudy, there was a line about how from rudy's perspective, paul is basically just a child. Rudy was much older than paul in total years lived.
You know the character writing is on another level when the characters literally fought a god before yet the most memorable part of ss1 was the moment you cried over the reunion of 2 pervs
For everyone who hates rudy I would really recommend reading the novels. For me seeing what goes in his head and how pessimistic he really is made me see him in a different light and made me start rooting for him
Also the other character POVS puts rudy actions into a much bigger context of what people's expectations and thoughts are on the which will frequently cause you to rethink characters

People get stuck on the reincarnated part where they view him as a 30 something man being ick all the time. The show has some blame for giving the inner monologue the voice. He is a new child in a new world though, despite having knowledge of another life, his emotions and reactions tend to make sense for the age he is at. A lot of things are not good, but he does mature and grow up, which is my main counter point to the idea that he is even mentally a 30 something. Even if you take the worst of it to be true, Gul Dukat and Elim Garek were great characters in Star Trek: DS9, even though they are literal space nazis. Characters that are morally perfect and completely unfaultable are also completely flat. Every character in this world is corrupt and aweful in their own rights, with few exceptions. You also need to take some of the information on the internet with a grain of salt, as apparently his backstory has multiple versions. anyhow,
Honestly, the level quality content i have seen on ur channel, especially of this anime deserves way way more support and attention than it currently gets. This video was everything i can imagine about a video about a detailed analysis of mushoku tensai. (The best video about this i have seen in youtube)😄
The author of Mushoku Tensei, Rifujin, makes a point out of giving characters flaws so that the journey they make to overcome them actually has meaning. He does such a fantastic job at doing so not just with Rudeus, but all of the characters in the show which makes the world feel very alive. Even if you don't like Rudeus as a character, the show itself is one hell of a journey that is definitely worth watching.

Savor it. I've binge read the LN, it was so great that it felt like I lost a friend after finishing it. Luckily there's still other novels related to the story that I now ration reading. And there's also the anime that I still enjoy even I've already read the entire story.
All the interactions between Rudeus and Paul are so good (they have more layers than what's being said) idk maybe because I'm a boy, it has an extra effect on me. But that part in the tavern, where the barman tells Rudeus to at least look Paul in the eyes, daaaaamn, if someone still don't like mushoku after that scene, I really don't know what to tell ya. It's SO well written, it's so real. I think the only scene that caused similar emotion was when Rengoku's father finally cried after losing his son. His friend became a favorite of mine after he talked to Paul in the tavern, which completely shocked me when I got spoiled and found out his true intentions.
*Watches smiling and nodding*. But yeah, the lore in this story is great. Though if the aime earns 100 points, then the light novel gets 1000 points. You get to understand how the world works in an intimate way. From history, to legends, to eating habits, to morality, to combat, etc. For example you hear about Hitogami several books before you counter him. And the same is true of a lot of legendary characters that have yet to show up in the anime.
The anime is dope, but the novels help peeps to better understand Rudy and how he is still a shut-in in his head regardless of his awesome mana. Just the episode of Roxy taking him outside for the first time was the 1st time he'd Literally been out in years. And the best thing is: He's not even the main "hero" of the story who saves that world. All I'm waiting for is the anime version for round 2 with Orsted.
Paul is really a family loving guy...and anime watchers will see that in part 2 of season 2...even though he has some flaws i really like his character...❤
Season 1 of Mushoku Tensei is so good! I love seeing Rudy and his friends and family grow❤. It's so real and so different imo. He can be annoying for sure, but he's a kid in this world so I cut him some slack here and there. Like by the end of the first season he's slipping into his old ways before he got reincarnated, but he realizes that and reminds himself of the promise he made himself to actually love a fulfilling life. im eager to hear your thoughts on this first part of season 2! Some parts of it really annoyed me, won't go into too much detail. But I'm curious to see how you feel about it!
After watching Mushoku tensei season 1 i'm tempting to bought LN and yes it WORTH pretty darn good to read Especially LN Vol 15 my favourite, just love the world building and character development especially for Rudy from losers pervert to become Family man

I love Mushoku for it's ability to show flawed characters. So many stories either have perfect characters, who always make the most efficient, level-headed choices, or get over their flaws seemingly overnight from a single event. People are not this simple, and changing how you think for the better is very difficult. Everyone in MT has strengths and flaws, but are never defined by either of them.
The show is like "hey, look this character doing cirminal and weird stuff, HE'S SO FUNNY LOLOLOLOLOLOL, awn, the naughty Rudy harassing Eris in Episode 9 or 8, get some punches and they'll be friends again, so baka, she will love him more, ah, that Tsunderes", LMAO

I went into Mushoku Tensei completely blind, I knew of its name and how it was acclaimed as the grand father of the isekai genre (debatable but I see why so many say it) so I wasn't honestly expecting much, if it was hailed as the grandfather of all these tropes I hate, then surely it's going to be a hard watch for me, but, almost right away, the art caught me, then the character building, world building, fucking god damn LANGUAGE building?! just caught me all off guard, they were actually.... good.

It is the first Anime I have ever watched, and I have literally lost sleep because my heart wouldn't stop pounding and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I read part of the Manga online, but think I have to get the Light Novels now. I am Devoted to this story more so than I have ever been to any other story.

The best thing for me about this series, is the way that the characters are portrayed. They’re flawed, they aren’t perfect, you don’t love them immediately, but instead as they grow and better themselves you grow to love them for their flaws, and how they overcome them as well as their trials and tribulations. I personally have really enjoyed the animated adaptation of volumes 7-9, and I’m so hyped for cour 2. My only gripes with the series is that Waterstones (UK bookstore chain) doesn’t readily stock the LN’s or Manga… Which isn’t even something directly related to the series, it’s the stores’ fault 😂

This is literally my favorite series of all time. I’m caught up to the anime and I’ve purchased all of the LNs and am on 12 currently. It’s so good.

This show is such a masterpiece, I love every character for how human they are (regardless of their actual race). If you don’t love it honestly there’s something wrong with you , this show is what anime is all about.
