Living in China is like being a wild animal in the zoo. You are being taken care of and you never feel lonely. Unlike the animals living in the wild, you don't need to worry becoming homeless, alone, deprived, or getting addicted to drugs. But as a cost you lose some freedom by the western standard.

We wish you all the best from Singapore! We have just survived the ordeal around mid mar when my hubby got Covid for 10 days and he volunteered to isolate himself. It’s really similar to flu (had some sore throat/fever). Maybe due to the fact that we got booster shots, Omicron is considered mild compared to previous Covid strains.
@@tammygallant6004 when they get covid after boosters they say atleast weren't in hospital. Then when so many of the booster people are in hospitals they say well atleast they end up on ventilators. Then many end up on ventilators and they say at least booster is why they didnt die. Nothing can make them realize how the boosters is affecting their immune system strength.

Please pay more attention to Changchun. This city has been completely locked down for almost a month, no public transportation, no schools, no restaurants. Most people have been staying at home for a month. Does it completely get rid off Omicron, or at least show a sign that the lockdown will be lifted soon? No! Now we can do the math and estimate when Shanghai will get better.

You might take the soda water and beer out of the fridge, make room for more red meat and milk and cheese. When you need cold beer, wrap the bottle with kitchen towel and rinse, put it in the fridge for 15 mins. Guess I'm another lucky guy staying out of any quarantine until this one. Finger crossed it'll be over by April 5th.

Inflation is US is out of control, way higher than official data. For example, price of cream cheese in costco is now doubled compared to pre-covid, price of 2% milk is almost doubled. price of most of the vehicles is significantly higher nowadays: I used to buy car with $$ off the invoice, let along MSRP. Nowadays, you need to pay $$ above MSRP. Housing in SoCal is also out of control.

Don't worry. In March 2020... we had 2 lockdown in March and April.... 1 month lockdown in my city then a more kind of relaxed lockdown after that month in Borneo Island. Then in 2021... our government had massive vaccination for everyone. I think around 90% population are vaccinated. Then Omicron came. We had around a thousand cases daily in our small province of 3 million people. Omicron is very very mild so don't panic. The worst one in 2020 is over... we lost many people that year. It was so bad. Take care, Mike. And take care... people of Shanghai. Trust your immune system and your vaccine. Sleep more, relax more at home, drink enough water and take your Vitamin C, D and zinc. You would be just fine.

多谢分享！作为远离家乡的上海人，看到现在大家的生活状态，感到恍如隔世，有点难以置信，又有点心痛。这样长期反复折腾的心理负担是很大的。不但折腾大人，也不知道在新疫情中度过学生时代的孩子们成长受到如何的影响。希望快点好起来吧，回归像从前那样的多彩生活。家人在上海，希望大家都平安不要生病。

我们在澳大利亚经历了六次封城。时间最长的一次达到几个月。好几次是四级封城，只能在5公里内活动。超市虽然也经历了各种程度的panic buy，但始终保持营业。六次封城完全解封后的维州现在依然每天新增八九千病例，新洲昨天新增两万。老实说，大部分人打过了疫苗，不管有没有用，对于封城带来的精神疲惫真的远远超过对新冠的恐惧。人们切身感受到了封城给经济上带来的重创，感受到封城带来的社交阻隔，感受到了在封城中没有完整上过一个学期学的小孩子们在学习、社交各方面的发展延迟。封城根本不是解决问题的办法。回想过去的两年，对比现在虽然疫情仍在延续但已慢慢恢复生机的墨尔本，深刻理解了老祖宗那句“流水不腐，户枢不蠹”的祖训。祝您和家人平安度过非常时期❤️

封城本來就不能解決問題，別當西方那麼多國家的人都傻了，都喜歡他們的國人死亡，別人也是深度的做好各項評估後才決定與病毒共存的。中國、台灣這兩個國家應該是目前少數還打算清零政策的國家了吧，果然體內的基因是一樣的。
区别在于病毒强弱，谁也不能保证病毒再来个高致死的变种，那时候政府不封估计你也会躲家里不敢出门了吧，这种事情不分对错，赌不赌随你，运气不好直接就真正自由了。

Don't worry. In March 2020... we had 2 lockdown in March and April.... 1 month lockdown in my city then a more kind of relaxed lockdown after that month in Borneo Island.
Then in 2021... our government had massive vaccination for everyone. I think around 90% population are vaccinated.
Then Omicron came. We had around a thousand cases daily in our small province of 3 million people.
Omicron is very very mild so don't panic. The worst one in 2020 is over... we lost many people that year. It was so bad.
Take care, Mike. And take care... people of Shanghai. Trust your immune system and your vaccine. Sleep more, relax more at home, drink enough water and take your Vitamin C, D and zinc.

I'm in Boston, and we went through Omicron. It was nothing. I don't understand why the Chinese government is so frightened of it.

Where as, we have gone through the worst of the worst and have already acquired an immunity against Covid.

Please don’t insult people’s wisdom by trying to sugar-coat such inhumane practices. Crimes exist wherever people live and US is no exception. But such inhumane treatment of its citizens that are happening there for sure does not happen in the free world where fundamental human rights are respected.

MIKE你好，我看到了你买了紫菜也就是海苔给宝宝，那个应该是韩国的，一般的调味紫菜非常咸，不太适合小孩子，可以尝试买韩国原本的不添加盐和调味料的紫菜，或者专门给孩子的紫菜。

紫菜？那玩意还不是中国本来就有的啊，没有调味的那种中国到处都能买到，并且许多食品都用得上，紫菜蛋花汤这东西可是中国传统家常汤了。
该不是和炸酱面一样，韩国吃惯了就当作自己发明的东西了吧。最好仔细看看历史，别闹那些汉服笑话，那可是当年中国赐给韩国，允许王室才能用的东西。

@@angelasummers5750 可能所在产地的海域不太干净？其实选择紫菜蛮需要注意产地的，不光是生产的国家，还有那个国家的某些地区。比如亚洲比较大的产地是泰国和韩国，泰国我不太清楚，韩国的话원도生产的紫菜是比较好的，因为海水很好。（很抱歉我不知道这个地区怎么翻译）
