Gorgeous transformation ... looks like an art room inside a mini forest, complete with lots of plants, wildlife sounds, frogs and a beautiful tropical parrot! ❤❤❤
Hi Lisa, I was looking through old magazines and found the 11 November 2016 Colored Pencil Magazine and there you were the competition judge! It was lovely to see all the pieces.
Wow is right 😍 My husband is going to be thrilled when I tell him I need a fairy wizard hobbit hole with a mini rainforest to paint in Lolol 😂😂😂 It’s amazing ❤❤❤
I had vandas but I couldn't provide enough humidity for them here so they didn't make it. I do have several phalaenopsis, an oncidium and a Paphiopedilum that are doing quite well. One of those Phals I've had for over 12 years!
You’re the only other artist I know of who also doesn’t like to paint in full light but prefers gloom. I have gotten so much flack for it over the years. Gorgeous overhaul! It’s turned out stunning.
Wow, one of the most beautiful and impactful room transformations I've ever seen. I love dark walls, they're rich, decadent, cozy, and calming. A perfect refuge for art. I also like to turn off the lights and just use a desk lamp. Love this so much. Also white walls remind me of something medical and sterile, not ideal for creativity.
Oh my gosh, that is my dream room. A cute bird, frogs, lizard, plants, gorgeous faux stained glass, and your beautiful artwork. I have an African Grey and some snails. I used to have loads of critters when I was younger like you.
Your windows are gorgeous. The whole room is pretty, but I am surprised you prefer to paint in the dark. I love painting in the day light and my dream studio would be to live beach front with large windows overlooking the ocean. We all like something different however and glad you were able to set up your studio your way. As I said, it reallly is lovely.
I've always thought your studio was fantastic, thanks for showing the process of how it got there. Mine's a work in progress since we bought this house 2.5 yrs ago. And your animals are so well behaved in there. Beautiful space!
Yes to seeing you paint the stained glass looking panels. I would love to know more. Maybe if it doesn’t smell too bad I could do one outside in the summer. Also, I spy a Starfish Pieces of Light. I love the overall studio. Definitely looks magical. I remember when you were preparing to move, the build, and moving. Wow, it was that long ago… which also feels like not that long ago at the same time.
It smells just like mod podge or elmers glue to me. Outside the scent shouldn't bother you at all though (hopefully). I know what you mean about the time! It feels like we just moved in and have also been here forever lol. It's really crazy seeing photos of my backyard from 2019 vs now.
Looks lovely, glad you are happy. The BIG light- I thought "huh, where did she find a light that looks like a big sunflower? So cool!" Haha...... Be well, Lisa
@@Lachri do you have any heat resistant paint? Painting the little bits that "curl back like a tiny petal" might be safer than adding paper or fabric that might overheat. (or does the lamp GET that hot? It just looks like it would) No point in burning down the joint now you have it so cool!
I'm so inspired now!! But I'm curious about the lighting cause it's my biggest problem in my studio space! You find those two little warm lights give enough light for you to see?
I prefer a daylight lamp over the easel, this is going to give far more accurate colors than depending on daylight through windows that can shift wildly from cool to warm light depending on the time of the day :)
Wow! What a beautiful transformation! It's a wonderful world where you can change your interiors to what you would like it to be. In 1978-1979 I went to school for Interior Design. I never tire of seeing what a person does to enhance their surroundings. Thank you so much for sharing. 😊❤
Thank you! Its crazy what just a few changes can make to a space! I bought some saws and other tools this black Friday so that I can do more accent walls and such around the house. I will have to make videos of that progress too since I want to use those walls to hang art :D
I think not painting the doors after painting the whole room had less to do with economy and more to do with your menagerie’s habitats get upgraded before yours does. 😂 You already had paint and tools, but ya had to get store-bought plants, rocks, and so forth. Priorities. 😂
The window paintings are DOPE. Definitely wanna see a video tutorial on how to make those amazing stained glass windows.
Thanks! I will make a gallery glass video for sure! Several people seem interested so YAY!!
Definitely a beautiful effect, would love to know how.
Gorgeous transformation ... looks like an art room inside a mini forest, complete with lots of plants, wildlife sounds, frogs and a beautiful tropical parrot! ❤❤❤

Fantastic! Its so you! I agree about creating in the evening or when it's darker. Also thanks for the time line for each project. Great job! Patty

Your studio is wonderful. I would love to see a video about the stained glass paint. Thanks!

Wauw, it looks incredible! ❤ and you have vandas, I also spotted a few more orchids ❤

Yeah, I've been called a vampire more times than I can count haha!
@ 😂 that’s how I feel.

I SOOOO feel the same about white walls! I'm just not comfortable in them.

Thanks! I love being surrounded by animals! What kind of snails do you have? They're so cute!!
Beautiful room!!!❤
Thank you!!

Thanks! I've seen studios that were bright and beautiful but I really like the dark. My mom says I'm a vampire lol.
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊

Thank you! Loki seems to really like recording videos with me. I'm not sure what he thinks is going on, but he likes it haha!

Very cool, looks like an underwater oasis!
Thanks!
It looks so beautiful and cozy ❤
Thank you! 😊
Love it! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ So cozy!!!
Thank you!!
I would a YES on that "Gallery Glass" painting tutorial, please...
It's on the list for sure!
Looks lovely, glad you are happy. The BIG light- I thought "huh, where did she find a light that looks like a big sunflower? So cool!" Haha...... Be well, Lisa
LOL Maybe I should glue big flower petals to it! That thing is not pretty :P

@@lorawaring883 I was thinking more fake silk flowers, not paper and paint, but I won't do it either way, it's already too big lol.
Amazing. And yes on an episode on doing gallery glass
I will work on that soon!
I'm so inspired now!! But I'm curious about the lighting cause it's my biggest problem in my studio space! You find those two little warm lights give enough light for you to see?
I hope your froggie has company. Absolutely gorgeous
Yeah, there are several in there. I have a whole army of santa isabels :)
Nice art studio. It is beautiful…
Thanks, it's definitely my happy place!
Awesome! I would love to see a video on the gallery glass….somehow with a traceable file, I lack the creativity for my own designs. Thanks
OOH! That's a great suggestion! When I make a project for a video I will make sure to include a downloadable traceable image! Thanks for the idea!!
Yes, would like lessons in painting gallery glass
Great! I will work on a video for that!
What light do you use above your canvas on your easle?
This is the one I use (amazon affiliate link) amzn.to/4g5NCsf
very interesting you say you don't like painting in daylight. I thought that was optimal for painting and seeing the colors?
I prefer a daylight lamp over the easel, this is going to give far more accurate colors than depending on daylight through windows that can shift wildly from cool to warm light depending on the time of the day :)

HAHAHAHAHA you may be right!
Don't know what to say... I just can't.
You're just caught speechless due to that bunny lamp. LOL
@@Lachri You read me like a Harry Potter book.
A lot of work, but sooooo worth it. Love your art space
Thank you!! :D
