Beautiful! For wet sanding I would suggest Micromesh. They're little pads that start at 1500 and go to 12,000. A little plastic polish after works wonderfully. For the wood, oil it first, sand to 800, apply a couple of think layers of CA glue, and then sand through the grits to 12k. Polish, and you're done.
