Frederick Swann plays three Hymns free style on the "Hazel Wright Organ"

Fred Swann plays three church hymns in improvisatory free style during a recital at the Crystal Cathedral in CA. In "my" opinion -- hearing hundreds of church organists play services, recitalists play hymns etc -- NO ONE EVEN COMES CLOSE to this , Fred IS THE MASTER when it comes to playing Hymns, especially on a large instrument such as the 'Hazel Wright Organ'. Kudos Fred ... some wonderful harmonies, powerful chords and lush, serene stillness are heard here.

Mr. Swann one of the finest organists in my book.
What has always amazed me with all of the glass in the Cathedral (now owned by the Catholic Church (Orange County), how the glass does not break with such booms.
I had the pleasure many years ago to attend a service when Dr Schuller Sr preached and he was superb.
His son is also an excellent minister
But hate to say this I went not for the sermons, I wanted to hear the grand organ and choir.

I love the Hour of Power program and still do, but nothing compares to Fred playing this organ, it is where I learned much about Christianity from Robert Schuller's sermons. I miss him very very much and Arvella too, and I miss the weekly service from the Crystal Cathedral. I also miss Johnnie Carl too and his wonderful musical arrangements. I am so blessed to have been able to worship via television all those years. Rest in God's peace Robert and Arvella! And Johnnie too!

YUM! This is what I call 'delicious' in music. So many beautiful modulations, color chords, stop combinations make this just a delicacy. You're right, this the top!
