Star Platinum probably was Jonathan spirit helping it's familay to defeat DIO, that's why only Star Platinum could stand against The World as Jonathan always do against Dio.

Same honestly. I thought it was gonna be wimpy 12 year old Jonathan becoming a stone cold badass (which turned out to be Jotaro). I mean, Jonathan still became a serious badass and hero, but my theory was totally different to what actually happens lol.
They should have played Sono Chi No Sadame in the actual anime. This was the end of everything that started back in Phantom Blood and also justice for Jonathan.
@@GXprogamer well there is a popular theory among fans that star platinum is actually the spirit of Jonathan. Doesn't hold much water but Jonathan did say say his spirit would haunt Dio
@@oks8568 More like if DIO was smarter, like while Joseph was telling Jotaro about Za warudo DIO could have killed jotaro instead considering jotaro didnt know about stopped time
@Kerry vans Konsol True theory? Where is the confirming proof by Araki that Star Platinum is Jonathan Joestar? Or are you just another over hyped conspiracy theorist.
@Kerry vans Konsol He said that yes, But that does not prove that Star Platinum is Jonathan Joestar. I can say "I'll haunt you forever once I die Phillip", doesn't mean I'll become a stand and be magically given to my great grandson. There is no factual evidence that Jonathan is Star Platinum. The fact he said "I'll haunt you" seems to allude more to the factor of more of his blood related relatives will attempt to kill off Dio, Not him being a freaking stand that he has no clue about. I think it was Eyes of heaven where you can match various JoJo's against Jonathan only for Jonathan to not understand/know/or have prior knowledge on Stands or their abilities. He knows Hamon, and can sense great power emanating from beings with a pulse, which is why in Eyes of heaven he realizes something else resides within Joseph, Jotaro and the other stand users. Jonathan can sense Stands but doesn't know it's a stand. Where as the stardust crusaders had an uncanny ability to sense stands at various parts of the arc, Of course stands like Death 13 and Cream did fall under the radar and it took quite sometime to identify the user about 75% of the time Jotaro and Co. Could sense stands and confirm they are stands. For Jonathan to not know anything about stands and not have his part have stands involved it would be a very large stretch for him to magically become a stand.
If one wishes to believe that Star Platinum is Jonathan's spirit they're allowed to think that without someone like yourself immediately trying to prove them wrong and calling them a conspiracy theorist, almost every Jojo fan I've met agrees with the theory that Star Platinum is Jonathan's soul and although there's no evidence to back that up except for Star Platinum showing signs of sentience sometimes throughout the Series and Jonathan looking very similar to Star Platinum, there isn't really any evidence that proves Star Platinum *isn't* Jonathan. So chill the hecc out and let people believe in what they want to believe, because honestly the theory isn't that ridiculous and is completely plausible, the existance of souls and spirits is confirmed in Jojo and people can get their fucking souls switched and be brought back from the afterlife then Jonathan can reencarnate as Stand. The majority of the Jojo fandom believes in this theory, so either you're a genius who's smarter than more than half of the entire Jojo fandom or you're a Jotaro fanboy who got triggered at some random dude on the internet because he believes in something you don't
as a matter of fact, in this scene ( and numerous others ) he's actually shouting 'kono dio ga'. he said 'it was me dio' once when he was twelve. otherwise, it's kono dio/kono dio ga.
Imagined how quick Phantom Blood would've been if Jotaro was Jonathan instead. Dio: *kicks Danny* I kicked your dog Jotaro: *kicks his balls* Now you can't have kids
Dio wouldn't be able to do shit if Jotaro was in Jonathan's place. Jotaro is pretty much the complete opposite of Jonathan. The latter is a kind and friendly gentleman that does his duty but is naive, the first gives zero shits about that kind of stuff and doesn't hold back if the enemy pisses him off enough, and is not as naive as the latter.
When I first saw this I thought he was gonna say something really moving and true, but nope. I mean it's true that it's because he pissed Jotaro off but it's not moving. Just like Dio.
I thought he was going to say: ''You failed to stand properly.'' and then I was gonna laugh my ass off... but let's admit, noone in real life would actually make a victory speech after so much shit had happened to them in one day. Jotaro probably only felt angry and pissed off, not like some kind of hero or anything of the like.
Never understood why tho? Wasn’t it cause DIO lost to him originally. I remember he said he respects him because he was just a head due to Jonathan almost killing him
@@ishaanjani8538 I also think that it's because DIO grew up with Jonathan, and at first when he became immortal. He tried to kill him a lot, but Jonathan preserved and decapitated him. Also probably when Jonathan hugged him as he died, he couldnt say anything then, but I'm sure DIO got the message. He forgave him even after he took everything from Jonathan, his father, his dog, his house, almost his relationship with erina, taking away the chance to ever raise his child, his body, dooming him and every single one of his descendants a chance for a normal peaceful life, etc, etc. Also I do think its because Jonathan kicked his sorry ass twice, and maybe getting him to cry (twice!) But DIO had come to respect his og jojo, and by honoring him in his own DIO way, addressing only Jonathan by the original title of JoJo.
I once saw a fanart of a Dio in his final moments having a vision of Jonathan behind Jotaro, and all he said before he died was "Jo...Jo" it was beautiful Edit: oh wow, look at all these likes
Doesn't phantom blood end with star platinum behind Jonathan in the epilogue? I could have swore I saw it in one of the final episodes of phantom blood
Narrator: With the last Vampire, Dio Brando, destroyed, the tale of the stone mask has come to an end. Mohammad Avdol, Noriaki Kakyoin, Iggy, Caesar, Mario, and William Zeppeli, Jonathan Joestar, and the countless others who have fallen to the power of the stone mask and its masters can finally rest in peace, thanks to Jotaro Kujo and his band of brothers, the stardust crusaders.
supahReford ;p I don't think he was actually a vampire, I'm pretty sure he only made vanilla ice into a vampire, and even if he was, Dio severed the top of his head and left him in an open coffin in a room where sunlight would soon pour in through the gaping hole in the wall. Nukesaku died before Dio did.
it only broke his jaw he could've ran away we dont know if he's dead or not but considering DIO went after the crusaders i think that he might still be alive
Musomania27 well Avdol suggested they can use their stands to talk to each other in one episode before they were about to go underwater, so sometimes the stands work on their own
JackTheGamer 331 But that would just be communicating the user's thoughts through their stands wouldn't it? Like how Polnareff and Kaky communicated when tracking Lovers.
JackTheGamer 331 Well that depends on the type of Stand, really. Remote control stands act independently but the close/mid range stands that are typically given to the protagonists and their friends don't have wills of their own aside from self preservation.
When I started watching JoJo, I thought that Jonathan was Jotaro, and the show was about how he turned from a weakling to this cool ass guy called Jotaro but when he died I was like O_o. It is such a smart move to kill off the main protagonist. We all expected Jonathan to live since he's the main protagonist, but contrary to our expectations, he actually died
@@hippydragonnslayerxdlmaohi3921 But Zeppeli said that Jonathan already has a very strong hamon. He just helped him to open his true power, i guess?(sorry for my bad english, I am from Russia:D)
In all honesty jonathan could probably keep up with star platinum by himself. Outright win no but he is easily the physically strongest JoJo. Dude ripped steel with his bare hands. No other jojo has shown such great frats without a stand
It was a too cocky attack he was thinking Jotaro even going to see his next move, so he intended to defeat with a kick, only for messing Jotaro. He paid greatly for this.
@@ericthemadscientist8357 And Za Warudo was stronger than SP, proven once more by the cracks in SP's hand. Dio did not expect, even with his injuries, to lose.
I was under the impression Dio lost because he didn't learn from how he managed to beat Jonathan; he respected Jonathan towards the end, and that was when he finally beat him. He didn't give that same respect to Jotaro and so naturally he underestimated him and promptly had Star Platinum's fist shoved up his ass.
Ktan Dantaktee see the issue with that is with Johnathan, nobody knew he was going to become an evil vampire lord. He came up by surprise. However, Jotaro already knew about DIO from the start, having learned the stories of the Joestar bloodline. So this wouldn’t have worked for DIO
but jotaro is different. it't not the case that dio didn't win because of not respecting him. it's the case that jotaro won because he was disrespected. stand powers come from their user's mentality. in jotaro's case he is fueled with his anger. ofcourse dio also stayed on top of his game because he stayed focused on his main goal, which probably boosted his mentality and lengthened his stand ability. but we have to admit that jotaro is just stronger than him in that situation just to imagine seeing your beloved grandfather, who accompanied you through travels despite of the misfortunes, being murdered in front of you
The reason why DIO left leg was destroyed because he is using Jonathan Body and Jonathan left side is filled with overwhelming Hamon that uses the energy of the sun so when Star platinum hit Za Warudo leg it burst out flames because even a small crack in his leg will burst out the energy that was stored in the body making him explode in half
"There's only one reason why you lost Dio. There's just one simple answer. You really pissed me off." I felt like Jonathan was the one who said that through Jotaro
Interesting fact: It's been shown multiple times before; particularly with Silver Chariot [See: Polnareff vs Vanilla Ice in particular where Polnareff outright says Chariot is weaker and unable to pull him out of the rings due to his own injuries.]; that a stand is weaker if it's user is injured. Dio clashed using The World's Knee. While his knees were wrecked. Hell; he did that because he used his knees injury to try a low blow. If Dio had waited for his knees to heal and done that; without being a desperate low blow; he probably would have won.
Raikaria1 It was also shown in that fight that Stand Users get a huge boost in power when extremely pissed. So I think Jotaro had been stronger at that point.
Raikaria1 Makes sense, and I wouldn't put it past Jotaro to try a batman gambit with Dio, captializing off of his pride and need to win. Only thing Jotaro didn't see coming was his hand getting damaged.
All memes and Jokes aside This series is incredibly special, This is art, Jojo's Bizarre adventure IS AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED a masterpiece, Thank you Hirohiko Araki
I think they were both really angry at each other but the angriest person made the opponent fly away at high speeds with the power of mind he musta been really pissed
Why not? Up until part 3 and beyond, where like every stand can unleash an unimaginably fast and powerful barrage of punches, who was the only one we saw use an attack like that?
I just hear the announcer in the english dub *in that moment, everything in the 100 years past went flying through Dio's head, the fear of death overwhelmed dio. After everything the crusaders went through, with death and hardship on the path, their journey finally came to an end*
The last bits really stick out to me And now the curtains rising on a story, a perpetual tale As lives will clash the sparks will cast a light On secrets hidden from their youthful days Shine if fortune may upon tomorrow’s way SONO CHI NO SADAME - JOJO God I love this song
I found Dio’s death is the original clip pretty anticlimactic. I think Kar’s defeat was WAY more badass. But THIS right here, makes his death even better than Kars’.
It was to mock Dio’s pride How could Dio died from a punch in the leg and not in the head or the torso. To mock his pride, to give him an unsatisfied death
As Dio was dying, he struggled to understand how and where everything went wrong. Dio: Why, why do I keep losing, Jonathan? From their very first meeting, Dio had always had the upper hand in their fights, only for Jonathan to come back from the brink of defeat and win. Even as he'd dealt the fatal blow on Jonathan, the seeds of his defeat were set in motion: with his last act, Jonathan not only sealed Dio away from the world, but saved the lives of his pregnant wife, Irina, and that of a newly orphaned baby, a girl who would grow up to fall in love and marry their son, giving birth to Joseph Joestar, who'd go on his own bizarre adventure to save the world against the Pillar Men and in doing so would meet a young Italian woman named Suzy Q, who'd give him a daughter whom married into the Kujo family and, right around the time of Dio's return, would give birth to a young man named...Jotoro Kujo. Dio: Damn you, Jonathan; y-you planned this, didn't you!?
3:40 Dio died after the explosion, Araki missed a chance to do this instead: Dio won't die YET after that explosion, he will stare at Jotaro as he takes his final breathes, Jotaro would put Star Platinum out, and Dio will see Jonathan instead of Star Platinum (ofc Jonathan aint star platinum, its just the spirit showing up for that particular moment) and Dio's final words here could've been "JoJo.....!" That would've been a perfect end to that, and everytime we see Giorno, we , the fans would get reminded of that moment. The scenario I just typed has a existing fanart, but still, I wish it was canon instead.

Yeah I saw it ! Not only is it beautifully drawn but it shows how pitiful Dio is compared to the Man among men that is Jonathan and his lineage (GioGio included ! )...
Ben Kielar But that's always a drawback as well. As long as there is a single descendant of the Joestar Family, or even a single drop of Joestar Blood for that matter, Dio will always fall.
1:40 reminds of this little back & forth: Jojo: Wow that was quite the foreboding entrance. You must be Dio Brando Dio: And you must be Jonathan Joesta- Jojo: I heard your parents are dead. Dio:.. Oh we are going to get along swimmingly.
I see a lot of people bitching about how they nerf the old Jojo from the last part every time they're introduced in the last part (Joseph in SDC, Jotaro in DiU) but I don't mind this. If Joseph was as powerful in SDC as he was in battle tendency, every fight would be nothing. Stands have rules and limits but hamon is OP.
Eh, what? Stands are almost always way more powerful than Hamone users. Hell, only a stand can hurt another stand so Hamon is useless against them. Hamone can't directly hurt humans.
the only thing joseph could probably do is K.O. people with a touch, and launch things with hamon. i'm more disappointed old joseph isn't the fighting genius he was when was young
@@bat6353 Exactly. I know that it works because of how Stands work, but this still felt so anticlimactic for a villain such as Dio, who has been built up since Part 1
@@CloverDragon03 Honestly... I found that it was fitting ! Jonathan's death was tragic but I never felt let down, to me, he went out like a fucking champion and was thinking of Erina's while barely being able to breathe... Dio on the other hand, dispatched caution right after drinking Joseph's blood and acted like the beast he is, underestimating Jotaro's resolve and dying pathetically as a result. The fact that the vampiric cult-leader with a broken Stand power went out like a punk is somewhat cathartic !
I felt like we needed this but first star platinum should've obliterated him rather then crack his left side and at the end dio sees Jonathan behind jotaro
Adobong Sinigang not flashbacks but i see as jotaro punching dio and put a hole threw him like jonothan did in part 1 then when dio is a bout to die he just see jonothan but not in the from of a flashbacks like jonothan punching then he close open his eyes and sees jotaro that would be fitting
Right as DIO goes to strike with The World, Jotaro is completely blinded. He can't defend himself. Yet Star Platinum moves on it's own, punching The World's leg with it's fist. DIO stares with horror as his leg begins to crack. But what happened next made him tremble with more fear than he ever had. Star Platinum looks him in the eye, and says "I told you that if you killed me, I'd haunt you DIO!". DIO looks in utter disbelief at his old nemesis, Jonathan Joestar. His body is being destroyed at a molecular level, but he doesn't even notice. His mind had been completely taken over by fear and shock. 1:29 plays This is how it should have went down.
I think it would have been stronger if the song began playing as the beatdown first begins, before the punch is thrown. Flashbacks start to play, cutting between footage of Phantom Blood and the present fight. Then, Dio notices that Jotaro is throwing a punch at his weakened state and he himself is about to block it. THIS is what forces Dio to make the connection between Jotaro and Jonathan, because it's exactly what he and Jonathan were doing a hundred years prior, not Jonathan speaking or an hallucination. Perhaps he even says "JoJo?" because he is reminded of him so much by Jotaro. He thinks of Jonathan, the flashbacks continuing to play, with the final one being Jonathan forcing his fist through Dio. Cut back to present day, where the explosion of the 1888 conflict cuts to the 1988 conflict, resulting in Dio's death, lined up perfectly with the singer saying "JoJo!"
@@lumeanoastra1252 He never says this in the original manga or anime. This theory has been debunked numerous times, but due to confirmation bias people either ignore all proof or just don't fact-check. And even if this theory wasn't utterly debunked, it's still a horribly loose connection at best to say: "LOOK AT THIS ONE SCREEN-SHOT! JONATHAN MADE A THREAT!" and then look for any resemblance at all in Jonathan and Star Platinum's designs. "They both wear gloves" isn't an argument, because the gloves are a different design. Same goes with the shoulder pads, and treating "Both Jonathan and Star Platinum are buff" as evidence is just retarded. Hell, even I can make a theory just as dumb and lacking of evidence as this: Stone Free is the reincarnated soul of Bruno Bucciarati because they both detatch parts of their body, have the same stand initials, are both blue, are both used to stop an Italian man from meddling with time/evolving their stand, both are leaders, both users die and are later resurrected and they both have stand cries and stand barrages.
1:01 Jotaro: don't you know star platinum has eyes? Dio: don't you know the world has armor Jotaro: so it's the same kind as star platinum Dio: NANI!!!!!
Twenty years later it occurs to me for the first time that Dio trying to blind Jotaro like that is really dumb of him, because *he can see through Star Platinum's eyes.*
@@speedawaaagon7492 i think he wasnt able to since he doesnt have full vampire powers at the time, otherwise, he couldve just froze jotaro and stuff letting him become more mobile and stuff
Jonathan Joestar Is it sad that I wasn't sure it was an insult at first? Anyways I'm terrible at writing in general so I'll leave it to the professionals (A.K.A. Any person who won't just throw in the plot-power cliche like I did)
targetseeker I also considered that but the only thing I could think of putting it in with was some kind of revelation/last second moral turn around and I realized that's the exact opposite of what DIO would do.
Before I watched the show, I honestly thought that Jonathon and Dio become best buddies after the final fight and become immortal as younger JoJos’ come and go :)
a lot of people are disappointed by dio’s “anti-climactic” death, but i think the point was to show how weak dio is. he’s just a street rat who got lucky because of circumstances that happened before he could even talk. he would've been nobody otherwise. i think part 3 was about jotaro, a 17 year old boy, being affected by circumstances outside of his control that led to his mom's life being in danger. jotaro doesn't kill dio because it's destiny; he's just some dude his great grandfather met. because of dio and how he uses his powers, many people he cared for died. that pissed him off and he just killed him. dio is just a nobody who lived long.
even so I love the fact that even someone as pathetic and pitiful as DIO has a effect in this world, remember his actions are still causing trouble for the joestars long after his death a primary example is pucci thanks to DIO’s actions pucci successfully reset the entire universe and the arrow he uses has large effective in the plot due to the fact that both diavolo and kira use the arrow to become big threats in their respective parts even as a slimy nobody DIO’s influences have ever lasting effects on the world
@jarvi A nobody? He literally had people who praised him like he was a god. The whole point of stardust crusaders was for them to kill HIM. You sound really dumb. He was one of the most praised if not the most praised villain in the series (or feared), however you want to put it. Even in his younger days you can clearly see he had people who praised him.
Mihajlo Milisavljević 7-1 I believe you’re missing the point, lad. He was revered in part 3 because of his power and looks. He was liked by his soldiers due to the mind control he’s got.
@@monolith253 he didn't mind control them all though. I like the theory that he was just really a nobody, but there many things that contradict that. Dio's actions literally shaped the universe and sort of revived him with Diego.
I love how Johnathan in the bitter end cradles Dio very lovingly. Shows a lot about his character, even though not fully, JoJo did love Dio as his brother
Where Dio is the Protagonist and Jonathan/Jotaro is the antagonist. He turned into a vampire to stop Jonathan and when he defeated him and his evil he stole his body
I really feel like Dio's death scene would have been better if his final thoughts were "I forgot who I was dealing with, you bloody his noise, he comes back twice as fierce." Instead of KONO DIO DAAAAAAAA
+Jesse Pinkman Not sure if that really accounts for all of the Joestars. Plus Dio hadn't fought any of them other than Johnathan, which is the only person he likely figured had that trait.
+Golan7 I know the trait applied to Jonathan, but Jotaro is a Joestar descendant so it wouldn't exactly be out of place if used in regards to him as well. Dio had bloodied Jonathan's nose by killing his father, and Dio had bloodied Jotaro's nose by holding his mother's life with evil stand energy. Both of the family members had had their nose bloodied, and both came back twice as fierce.
That doesn't seem to fit DIO Or at least not at the moment He would be too full of himself while dying Surprised how this could have happened hence "Impossible! I am DIO!" He thinks he's impossible to beat Even when Jonathan destroyed him which didn't kill him but still, which he was much more powerful here than back then
I'm glad I'm not the only one who believes that theory. I definitely believe the Stand named Star Platinum is Jonathan's spirit manifested to guide Jotaro
@@thesymbiotenation.4552 I think all stands are inspired from the Peace wish of Jonathan. Cause really, all the stands of Joestar Bloodline were made to fight the evil destiny.
Actually the stands were from a alien virus in a meteorite. It make people die, but The ones who survived and his descendants can make use of the Stands. So it is possible that neither Jonathan or even George made contact with the virus. It because the JoJos can make use of Stands even Dio, because he used the Jonathan's body. So, possibly the stand for Jonathan WAS going to be THE WORLD.
I still believe star platinum is jonathan, and i imagined, dio somehow saw star platinum behind jotaro, and then saw a shiloutte of johnathan,And star platinum/johnathan says"Its over,Dio" And instead of "Kono dio da" he yells "Jo...jo...why...."
I really hat that idea, and it wouldn't make sense whatsoever considering stands are the physical manifistation of their respective users fighting spirit
Yeah, he looked more menacing with the long hair and what not. I hate how they went with the crazy look at the end. Dio's not crazy, just..diabolical evil.
+HiNu7 Lets face it, he drank JOSEPH'S blood, the master of camp homoerotic poses and a horribly unskilled crossdresser, there was no way he was coming out of that unscathed.
I think this is truly the best possible version of Dio's death. Not only does it give us another amazing use of Sono Chi No Sadame, but it really does reaffirm that not only is this part of the Joestar saga that began back with Jonathan, but also that is is in-fact Dio. The same person we saw as a kid back in Phantom Blood has now ended up here, this was his final fate. With the original, I felt that Dio was much different. Part one Dio actually acted on his ambitions, whereas part three Dio sat on his ass waiting for the crusaders to wade through his enemy stand users. They both said muda, they both thought they were godlike, and both were powerful. But in the original, part one Dio truly was left in his coffin, and a onenote evil-machine (poorly, in my opinion) tried to fill his place. This version partially closed the gap, and was well made. Nicely done, op
I agree that there's only one reason Dio lost. But it's *not* that he pissed Jotaro off. "I'm facing Jonathan with my new overpowered vampire powers now. Let's play around a little, what could *possibly* go wrong?" "Alright, now I'm facig Jonathan a second time. But this time, I *won't* fail! So let's play around a kttle more!" - 100 years later - "I could start searching for the Joestars myself, as long as they're not experienced stand-users... but nah, let's send my minions to get them so Jotaro & friends can power up a little. What could go wrong now"? "Alright, alright, now I'm facing them myself. They've defeated everyone I sent after them. Alright, but whatever, I'll toy with them. It worked so well the last times." "Now I've been cornered over and over again, although I could've ended this all easily. My legs are broken and I couldn't kill Jotaro even after stabbing him several times. Even stabbing his brain. Beating him up with brute force, enough to shatter buildings. So, now I'll blind him with my blood, and then I'll use my broken legs to finish Jotaro off! Now, *nothing* can go wrong!" Let's face it. I love Dio, but he wouldn't even be able to seize victory even if he possessed all stands, the powers of all pillar men, drained the blood of each and every Joestar and all his opponents were already on the brink of death.
2 thinks that are debatable here: 1. Dio said that he lacked control over Jonathan's body and that might as well influence his control over his stand. Over the time in his house in egypt he drank a lot of blood, but he still needed more to get complete control. He also did not know anythign about the joestars. He did not know where they could be, he did not know anything about their stands, not about the Harmon abilities these might posses and we do not know when and how quick he was able to gather his henchman. Also: Dio liked to travel... a lot... 2. While damaging a stand does damage the user and binding a stand does bind the user, this was never shown to work the other way around. If this were a two way, SP would have not been able to move against HG. And in the later parts that would have been even worse for the jojos.
+Gabre You do realize that Dio has "The Passion" (Jonathan's stand) right? He could've used it to find out more about the stands of the remaining Joestars.
"It was at that very moment that the great DIO's life flashed before his eyes: from his meeting with Jonathan, a life long rival, to every evil deed he committed from the disgrace of Johnathan to the Death of Joseph Joestar and everything in between. In those final moments, humanity and mortality was forced upon him and beneath all his bluster, his power, his pride DIO once again knew fear! With what little strength he had left, he tried to deny the just reality around him, his diseased mind incapable of accepting his demise. And in his final moment, he gazed upon Jotaro Kujo and saw teh shadows of his ancestors a young Joseph smirking cockily at him and his spitting image, Johnathan giving him a final nod of defeat as his World was shattered, his time ran out and his blood burst forth! This is the end of DIO brando, last fo the vile vampires and the greatest scourage to the Joestar Family."UA-cam

@Kerry vans Konsol
True theory? Where is the confirming proof by Araki that Star Platinum is Jonathan Joestar?
Or are you just another over hyped conspiracy theorist.
@Kerry vans Konsol
He said that yes,
But that does not prove that Star Platinum is Jonathan Joestar.
I can say "I'll haunt you forever once I die Phillip", doesn't mean I'll become a stand and be magically given to my great grandson.
There is no factual evidence that Jonathan is Star Platinum.
The fact he said "I'll haunt you" seems to allude more to the factor of more of his blood related relatives will attempt to kill off Dio,
Not him being a freaking stand that he has no clue about.
Where as the stardust crusaders had an uncanny ability to sense stands at various parts of the arc,
Of course stands like Death 13 and Cream did fall under the radar and it took quite sometime to identify the user about 75% of the time Jotaro and Co.

To be honest, the only JoJo that Dio would be fine with killing him was Jonathan. Dio respected Jonathan to a high degree.

Jotaro's like "Yare yare, just because I'm blind doesn't mean my stand is blind too"
Isn't that how it works though?
Musomania27 well Avdol suggested they can use their stands to talk to each other in one episode before they were about to go underwater, so sometimes the stands work on their own
JackTheGamer 331 But that would just be communicating the user's thoughts through their stands wouldn't it? Like how Polnareff and Kaky communicated when tracking Lovers.
Musomania27 well maybe so, but my point is, the stands act independently but they're loyal to their users

Dio clashed using The World's Knee. While his knees were wrecked. Hell; he did that because he used his knees injury to try a low blow.

This is how it should have went down.
I see what you did here. I like it
I think it would have been stronger if the song began playing as the beatdown first begins, before the punch is thrown.
I dont think there was sentence where he said
Kill me I would haunt you life lmao
@@thegalatian7783 actually Jonathan said "Dio, if I die my ghost will hunt you!"
Hell, even I can make a theory just as dumb and lacking of evidence as this:
Stone Free is the reincarnated soul of Bruno Bucciarati because they both detatch parts of their body, have the same stand initials, are both blue, are both used to stop an Italian man from meddling with time/evolving their stand, both are leaders, both users die and are later resurrected and they both have stand cries and stand barrages.

Nathaniel Reyna At that moment DIO realized that he would never be better than the autistic author's self-inserted special snowflake main character.
Jonathan Joestar Is it sad that I wasn't sure it was an insult at first? Anyways I'm terrible at writing in general so I'll leave it to the professionals (A.K.A. Any person who won't just throw in the plot-power cliche like I did)
Nathaniel Reyna would've added the fact that dio's life is literally flashing before the end.
targetseeker I also considered that but the only thing I could think of putting it in with was some kind of revelation/last second moral turn around and I realized that's the exact opposite of what DIO would do.
Nathaniel Reyna makes sense
The flashbacks and Sono Chi No Sadame make Dio's death really special for me, so thank you.
Agreed. This should've been how it was in the show.
I swear, this theme needs to be played at every main villain defeat in the series.

a lot of people are disappointed by dio’s “anti-climactic” death, but i think the point was to show how weak dio is. he’s just a street rat who got lucky because of circumstances that happened before he could even talk. he would've been nobody otherwise. i think part 3 was about jotaro, a 17 year old boy, being affected by circumstances outside of his control that led to his mom's life being in danger. jotaro doesn't kill dio because it's destiny; he's just some dude his great grandfather met. because of dio and how he uses his powers, many people he cared for died. that pissed him off and he just killed him. dio is just a nobody who lived long.
even so I love the fact that even someone as pathetic and pitiful as DIO has a effect in this world, remember his actions are still causing trouble for the joestars long after his death a primary example is pucci thanks to DIO’s actions pucci successfully reset the entire universe and the arrow he uses has large effective in the plot due to the fact that both diavolo and kira use the arrow to become big threats in their respective parts even as a slimy nobody DIO’s influences have ever lasting effects on the world
@jarvi A nobody?

Yeah, I want an alternate reality series w/ Dio as the main protagonist.
Lenard Regencia of Course
Where Dio is the Protagonist and Jonathan/Jotaro is the antagonist. He turned into a vampire to stop Jonathan and when he defeated him and his evil he stole his body
+Chronica What is it about?
That doesn't seem to fit DIO
Or at least not at the moment
He would be too full of himself while dying
Surprised how this could have happened hence "Impossible! I am DIO!"
He thinks he's impossible to beat
Even when Jonathan destroyed him which didn't kill him but still, which he was much more powerful here than back then
+Godot
Nah, that wasn't the nose bloodied moment. Jotaro's nose bloodied moment was when Dio drank Joseph's blood in front of him.
Maybe the English dub can fix it? Probably not, people are gonna get mad if they change it
Jonathan is jotaro’s stand and there’s nothing you can tell me other wise
It would explain why Jotaro thought of Star Platinum as an evil spirit at first; he felt Jonathan's anger towards Dio.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who believes that theory. I definitely believe the Stand named Star Platinum is Jonathan's spirit manifested to guide Jotaro
@@NickCorvello but what about All other Joestar stands in existence?
@@thesymbiotenation.4552 I think all stands are inspired from the Peace wish of Jonathan. Cause really, all the stands of Joestar Bloodline were made to fight the evil destiny.
Actually the stands were from a alien virus in a meteorite. It make people die, but The ones who survived and his descendants can make use of the Stands. So it is possible that neither Jonathan or even George made contact with the virus. It because the JoJos can make use of Stands even Dio, because he used the Jonathan's body. So, possibly the stand for Jonathan WAS going to be THE WORLD.
I love how the guitar riff at the end of the Crusaders theme still works.
It’s the perfect key.
I still believe star platinum is jonathan, and i imagined, dio somehow saw star platinum behind jotaro, and then saw a shiloutte of johnathan,And star platinum/johnathan says"Its over,Dio"
And instead of "Kono dio da" he yells "Jo...jo...why...."
This fanart is pretty much that
imgur.com/OhIVFPv
I really hat that idea, and it wouldn't make sense whatsoever considering stands are the physical manifistation of their respective users fighting spirit
Bruford looks way similar to Star Platinum than Jonathan
Stand is a soul manifestation
So star platinum is Jotaro fighting spirit
So its kinda dumb if its Jonathan or Bruford spirit
Also sorry if theres a grammar mistake

Let's play around a little, what could *possibly* go wrong?"
"Alright, now I'm facig Jonathan a second time. But this time, I *won't* fail! So let's play around a kttle more!"
- 100 years later -
"I could start searching for the Joestars myself, as long as they're not experienced stand-users... but nah, let's send my minions to get them so Jotaro & friends can power up a little. What could go wrong now"?
"Alright, alright, now I'm facing them myself. They've defeated everyone I sent after them. Alright, but whatever, I'll toy with them. It worked so well the last times."
"Now I've been cornered over and over again, although I could've ended this all easily. My legs are broken and I couldn't kill Jotaro even after stabbing him several times. Even stabbing his brain. Beating him up with brute force, enough to shatter buildings. So, now I'll blind him with my blood, and then I'll use my broken legs to finish Jotaro off! Now, *nothing* can go wrong!"
Let's face it. I love Dio, but he wouldn't even be able to seize victory even if he possessed all stands, the powers of all pillar men, drained the blood of each and every Joestar and all his opponents were already on the brink of death.
2 thinks that are debatable here:
Lmao, Straizo from part 2 said it best, DIO is really stupid with his powers
Shocked Chaika at the beginning Dio could stop the time for less than 1 second...
Arrogance is a hell of a drug.
The way i wanna go out:
*JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOJOOO* blows up
Would be awsome asf.
