The last game is truly absurd and epic at the same time. Good and terrible plays resulted in an absolutely 100 percent unique game. Way to go
love how the marines went to the sneaky prove, shot it a bit and then went back like "yeah, that aught to learn him", love even more that the captain some how spotted the red dot in the mini map by like a faction of a second the first time around in the mini map, then completely ignored that same red in the mini map after having full vision of it

As someone who has a weak one-handed backhand your comment surprised me with its accuracy. A lot of it is that I don't have the confidence to hit topspin a lot and also I play doubles so I don't use it as much. Still, other players hit serves consistently to my backhand forcing me to slice cross court or lob so their net player doesn't poach my weak shot.
the short angle cross-court slice (Federer style) is your friend ;-)

5:30 I wish I had read that book when I was younger. I used to practice my own cheese builds vs the AI in SC1, but I never used them against human opponents because I felt like I was being mean. Needless to say, I was never any good at the game, lol

I'm 2800 MMR and I kinda like getting cheesed? It's fun to try and defend even if I lose.
Also I rush out defensive cannons which always surprises people.
I remember cannon rushing someone, and they just have the same response as the first guy. Always very satisfying

That's why always gg when you get beat by cheese. Occasionally add a wp so that they don't get that satisfaction.
Don't feel bad for cheesing someone. If they don't scout, it's their problem.
Why feel bad? It's a legitimate strategy. Anyone who doesn't properly plan to negate the initiative battle plans of their opponents by thinking out of the box. Isn't someone I'd like to learn from. You implementing these strategies should help them learn to think on their toes. It should be a blessing to them to learn from their mistakes

how do you feel about people who say "gg" first when they win?
i remember back when sc2 was big in usa and everyone was getting into it, i was told that saying gg first when ur winning is consider bad manners according to the big standard set by the korean game community. it was as if saying "you lost give up" instead of the losing player conceding defeat.

I am only a veiwer and have no understanding of starcraft builds but is it possible to proxy buildings later on in the game for memes? Like after 2 gate/racks, put some production across map with some aggressive batteries/bunkers?
The power of the proxy is significantly reducing travel time so that your units can hit much earlier than your opponent is expecting. If you build production across the map later in the game and when your opponent is setup, they will easily be able to counter and destroy it, wasting minerals and production. Batteries and Bunkers are great until your opponent has 9 tanks.

There’s nothing wrong with playing the dirtiest, cheesiest strategies. There’s nothing wrong with drilling your opponent’s backhand again and again in tennis. But knowing getting drilled like that is possible and even likely is possible is why thousands of people, including myself will watch Harstem play but never, EVER play SC2 again personally. Losing to cheese feels bad and if I never play again, not even the strongest cheese can touch me. This feels like the biggest win of all. The more people who feel something like that, the smaller the active community will be.
