Western Washington University Mens Choir sings "Star Wars" by John Williams, arranged by the a Capella group Moosebutter (Mister Tim) for their Winter Choral Concert "Music in Motion". The piece was conducted by Tim Fitzpatrick. We added some coreography for our performance as well, check it!
In case you were wondering, this arrangement is comprised of 6 Steven Spielberg movies and their respected soundtracks from John Williams.
They are in order:
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark
Superman
E.T. : The Extra-Terrestrial
Jaws
Jurassic Park

John Williams is the Man!!!!
11 years later this gets recommended to me. I'm glad it was; I love this rendition.
This song is insane, no matter how many times I watch it, and no matter what version I watch, I always get tears in my eyes during the "Join the Darkside" part. Fantastic.
I love this! Um, that guy on the far right looks like Stephen Colbert.
cupidsdelite That's because it IS Stephen Colbert. Don't ask me why. It just is. There's a comment about it further down the thread.
I hope John Williams feels so incredibly flattered by the fact that someone took the time and energy to compose and arrange something like this outt a his best works to tell the star wars story. Absolutely epic!
The force is strong with the dude with the fro!
new era of choir!!
Our 7th and 8th grade choir did this song with a 3 part, n it was AHMAZING! moosebutter had 2 personally make a piano and 3 part piece of music. GO MMS!!! IT WUZ SOO COOL!
John Williams is the Man. :-)
Just plain speechless.
Four guys at my school did this arrangement for a choir performance, and everyone was laughing the whole way through. It was the best act in the entire show. I think the POINT is to be humorous...
This is, by far, is my favorite rendition of this medley.
Well, it is a medley of Cinematic scores by John Williams with Star Wars theme, scores are as follows:
"Close encounter of a third kind"
"Raiders of the lost ark"
"Superman"
"E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial"
"Jaws"
"Jurassic Park"
"Raiders of the lost ark Reprise"

I watch this a lot! I'm a fan of Moosebutter, and came across this as a response to the Corey Vidal tribute. Very Clever to use this for a men's acapella group! I'm sure there will be others to adapt it, too! Very good-looking group! 5 stars!
