The game sure is a massive upgrade compared to the first one, huh. Already finished this years back, and now I'm trying to finish the first game. Hope I do so, heh.
Yeah, I totally agree with that honestly. I was really surprised the first time I beat this game and got here that after all the build up, he never had his own theme.
the worst thing about that is that from what i can find no one has bothered to make a lufia 2 .sf2 file so if i wanna do it myself i have to use samples ripped from the .spc files which is just kind of a pain in the ass in comparison you don't really need to know what that means outside of the fact that making stuff with lufia 2 samples kinda blows at the moment
I've almost never touched the ancient dungeon. According to the report after you beat the game, I spent 60+ hours on this file (so far) leveling, and 0:53 minutes in the dungeon. Maybe I'll record some escapades in the ancient dungeon. I never thought about doing that before, and yeah, I edited the names with a hexeditor, which if you know anything about the values = loads of work. If I wanted to change the dialogue to reflect the new names, I'd have to find every instance of their name.
Leave it to you to use the unicorn. decent fight though. but was Dekar in your party when you were leveling so much? also i find it amusing that the names you gave them doesn't matter during the ending where they have there default names. also it seems you still have many difficulties walking in thin paths on this game. but this is a amazing game, but i think you should try to do a play through of the ancient dungeon. i would be very interested in seeing that.
+Robinho ColoFilho Interesting to know! If I go back and play it again (I probably will soon, as I still need to beat my retry file) I'll let it hang a little longer. :)
@@fyeplays1717 Hey there. :) Welcome. Just basic hexediting. A long time ago I was nerdy into it (still rarely do it). Back then there was no public offset data for Lufia 2, so I changed just their names in the menu to have some form of character customization. I would be surprised if tools didn't exist that could do it for you now.
I edited them in-game to reflect a more FF6 (FF3) nature. I might have destroyed the Lufia lore, but it made it easier for me to remember everything back then when I played through it.
+Zippocatt Wow, sorry. I'm sorry I missed this comment ages ago! If you're still interested: I did it by hexeditor and finding the offsets manually, but if you checkout romhacking.net there's Lufia 2 utilities nowadays which can edit some basic stuff like monster drops, etc, that you can use rather easily.
9:21 best song in gaming history
Lo que pude llorar yo con éste final, madre mía, que rercuerdos...
I still cry a lot due to this ending....
Me too.
The best love story in any game. Sad ending...
@@Markde9876 this remember me of darlifran ending
Too bad the chances of having a faithful remake is too slim. The series is already dead.
If you think this is a sad ending, you really have to play "Terranigma" on SNES...
5:58 you little hooches!
I bet Nintendo made them change that one. I never thought about that until now
In the original Japanese, it said "bastards", but Nintendo made them alter it for the English release.
@@Soloong_Gaybowzer lol hooches doesn't sound any better!
Who was still sad, even though they played the first game and knew how it was going to end? That music didn't help.
12:58 Would have been nice to visit that little shrine, like you do in Lufia 1.
crying while watching the ending on the toilet with a chem exam in 6 hours
That's coincidentally how I beat this game and what I was doing when I uploaded this ending.
Hoy a llorar de nuevo por maxim y por tía pobrecilla
Tia hace que veamos a maxim como un hdp (creo). Pobre, la nena llamando la atención y el men se hace el gil
😥😥🤧🤧😥🤧
Im.... not crying... it's liquid pride.... T.T
Ok I'm crying!!!!!!
Try Pokémon mystery dungeon, you’ll definitely cry from that one
😭😭😭
I know....

Oh, whoops, and no I wasn't raising Dekar up because he "dies", remember?
The game sure is a massive upgrade compared to the first one, huh.

It’s too bad Daos didn’t have his own theme, maybe more menacing and incorporating bits of the song that plays for the other sinstrals.

that dungeon was hell did it on original game even discovered a debug on it
if you played with the equipment menu the game would debug an change your players stats it some times it worked

what a.... universal - ...GAME!!! :O
nice video! but this is not the whole ending =) there is more after your final part. I will not spoil it, go check it! you have to be patient thought

Then the remake fucks the whole game up and the sad ending.
@Shauny7188
... and I was too lazy to do that. It just bugged me I couldn't change their name(s). And yeah, walking was hard. >:)
Wait how DID you change their names?

Who's Mike?
I came here to rewatch the ending... but what's with the names of spells? What happened to champion, pheonix, water dragon, etc?

what/how did you edit it or what editor was used? player names included i see

but only in battle. player names were default in dialogue
